The Menlo Park Library has a good program for little kids. During the year, there is a reading time appropriate for infants and toddlers. During the summer, they do special plays and fun events for that crowd. It is always well attended and they do their best to make it all inclusive. Great week day outing for stay at home parents or childcare providers.

PROS: free, educational
CONS:

This library at first glance doesn't look to be too big, but once you come in, you realize they have EVERYTHING. You usually just spend your time in the center of the building, and never even realize how much farther deep it goes and how much more stuff there is! The librarians are very helpful which is always a plus, they always are willing to help you find whatever it is you need. They have a summer reading for kids and teens. They also have an annual book sale which is worth a visit.

great library, slightly smaller than others. Not too many feature films- most of the films are decades old or are exercise videos. You can rent new releases for a fee, or order newer movies from the library system video center for about $.50. This library is a good place to study or do research. Holds summer reading programs in the summer. This library is located very close to down town and has a very open feeling- the library is never crowded and has really large windows and high ceilings.
