My beau and I hang out here all the time. The food is fresh (sometimes fresh from the restaurant tank), sushi chef Jonathan is a true food artist and owner John makes sure you are happy with everything and that your beer is always cold! Their rainbow poki salad, albacore with crispy onion and salmon sushi are mega-tasty and top notch! We bring all our friends here for the food and atmosphere and the 5-7 and 9-close $3 beer specials!

If you are going to the Wiltern this is the place to go before the show and to continue going to anytime you are going out in Koreatown! We've only lived in K-town since May and this is already our regular hang-out. Can't recommend enough!!!

We have to wait for more than half hour after placing our order. Our food did not get to us until we followed up and attempted to leave. The beef terriyaki and pork cutlet was served cold. Salmon terriyaki was served without any terriyaki sauce and have to ask for the sauce twice before it finally came. California roll.... who does not want wasabi and soysauce to dip? Again, have to ask for it twice before you get it. Miso soup was served when we were almost done with the main entree.

If you want good service, think twice before you go to Furusato at 3881 Wilshire Blvd 90010. I wonder how they stay in business. There are a lot of other good Japanese restaurants you can try but definitely not Furusato.

Cons: Very poor service

Furusato has a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. The decor and the ambience is very traditional Japanese. Their sushi is prepared with freshest ingrient and the price is excellent. Most Japanese restaurant charges you for all the side dishes such as miso soup and salad. At Furusato, all the side dishes are free, making it a economical yet tasty night out for sushi.
The restaurant also had three meeting rooms which seats from 5-20 people located upstairs. The privacy and seclusion was a hidden gem most of the patrons were not aware.
