I've been going there for over ten years. Sadly, it looks like there's been little upkeep over the last ten years. The only newer thing that they didn't have when I was growing up is the DDR games. The carpet on the mini-golf is torn up and worn. It's rather sad. The go-carts are still awesome though.

Ratings_icons Getting run down

Tony R. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,425

The last time I took my family to Boomers I was very disappointed. Many of the games were broken, but they were still turned on and taking your money. They used to have a McDonalds which is nothing to get excited about, but the restaurant they replaced it with is even lower quality. The worst thing was the new game cards that simply stopped functioning, and I guess the system was new because the staff didn't seem to know how to get them working again.

Boomers is a family fun park with go-carts, mini golf, arcade games, and etc. This is a great place for kids and family, even date nights. I love going with a group of people.

Ratings_icons Boomerific!

Boomers is the best place to go to have some major fun for everyone. Everyone's favorite is of course the the go carts there, sure the wait is long, but worth it. It is also a place where you can go and be a kid again.

Ratings_icons Boomers!

Boomers is a great mini amusement park for a family outing or perhaps a childs birthday party! Its a great place for kids of all ages to play miniature golf, speed on go carts, ride bumper cars or the exhilarating bumper boats and other fun activities. There is also an arcade filled with a variety of games just in case youre not an outdoorsy kind of person.

Ratings_icons kids love it here

angela l. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 8,888

I take my little cousins and nephews here whenever they visit. They love the miniature golf and arcades Boomers have to offer. There's a MacDonald's inside the building so no worries about getting hungry. In fact, as soon as you walk in, you smell that distinct grease smell. I normally don't like fast food, but for some reasons, everytime I go to Boomers, as soon as I walk in, I crave for fries... great method of marketing, I have to say.

There's this methamorphosis type of photo booth by the entrance door that we all like. Couples can take pictures to see what their future kids will look like.. or you can even be matched up with a monkey if you'd like to see what your kid would look like if you married a monkey.

It's a fun family place.

Ratings_icons lots of games

Kevin P. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,912

I've only been to this Boomer's a few times, but it's definitely a good time. They have a lot of arcade games to choose from, as well as interactive games like laser tag and miniature golf. The only thing I don't like is the fact that some of the newer games take a lot of credits, so it is always a good idea to do the unlimited games deals that they offer. Another thing I liked about Boomer's was the fact that it wasn't very crowded...I hate waiting around for people to get off a machine, so it was nice to be able to pick and choose whatever we wanted to play. I'd definitely recommend Boomer's in Irvine.

PROS: cheap unlimited gaming

Ratings_icons Lot's of fun!

Alison R. | insider Insider | Rank: 22,429

My children LOVE this place! Lot's of video games to play- and things to see. We dine there as well- and I can't complain there either. This place is just overall the best, to come to w/younger children- as well as older!

Ratings_icons Family entertainment in Irvine.

Charlene C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,115

Good place to go for an afternoon - very family-oriented, small amusement park with miniature golf, bumper cars, bowling alley, arcade, etc. Prices vary from cheap and worthwhile to sort-of-expensive and questionable, but overall, the place offers decent entertainment.

one of the best boomers i've been to as of yet. it's got tons of arcade games and i love the bumper cars the most. it's in a university area so a lot of college students like me will hang out there sometimes on a weekend day. it's a great place to let loose.

this is one of the better boomers. they have a big arcade area, they have laser tag, bumper boats, etc. of course, it can be a bit pricey but the $10 unlimited days helps.

Ratings_icons Lots of Rides

Thanh N. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 12,157

This Boomers location is the best out of the two. I love to take my son here. This one comes with a huge arcade and plenty of rides. This is the only place that offers laser tag and rock climbing. For $20, you can play the ride for unlimited if you want to play the ride, or else it free to get in. Great price and great deal. Great way to spend a day.

Ratings_icons Expensive and NOT worth it!

Michele V. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,829

Palace Park seems to have gone downhill, but maybe it seemed nicer when I was younger. At my last visit, there was less than desirable clientele there. I was actually concerned for my young toddlers safety. Nothing happened, but its not the sort of place where you can take your eyes off of your child. Too many corners. The prices are high for the games and attractions. Its a better deal to just go to Disneyland.
