Marlborough School is an independent day school offering young women an outstanding education with all the bells and whistles. The four-acre campus includes a gymnasium and training room, seven science labs, a computer center, facilities for photography, painting and sculpture, a 75ft. six-lane pool, and several outdoor courts. The school built a new parking lot across the street, which was designed with a great deal of style and taste. Blessings to them for pulling down one of the ugliest houses in Hancock Park. There is a 22,000-volume library offering over 90 periodicals and newspapers, and it is hooked up to UCLAs card catalog (ORION). The Performing Arts Annex includes two dance studios, a music room, a 100-seat performance theater, and a 500-seat auditorium. A girls school education is not for everyone.
