I talked to the manager about this issue. I ate there and got a very bad headache. I ignored that because I thought it was just me.

Then I ate some food I had ordered for carry out the next day. Once again I got a headache. I called Joy Feast because I wanted to know if they use MSG in their cooking. I've read that MSG can give some people headaches. They said they don't and that they only use Knorr Chicked Powder.

Nonetheless if I eat there again I am going to specifically tell the waiter NO MSG in the food for me.

I used to have no problem eating at Joy Feast.
I hope this glitch was merely the mistake of a new cook.

Pros: very fresh ingredients

Cons: Their food gives me a headache now

Mom & I couldn't stop eating the House Special Rice--best Chinese rice I've ever had and I eat lots of Chinese food; the Wor Won Ton Soup broth was extremely flavorful and not an ounce of fat. I just returned from a trip to China and I loved the food in China, but this food is better. The staff (cheerful and efficient) remembered us from our last visit a few weeks ago--we loved the food then, too--the steamed fish was fabulous and tasty and prepared so healthy with soy sauce, a bit of sesame oil & scallions & ginger. The prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Tea is complimentary. Will be back there soon. A real gem off the beaten path.

Our family's favorite hobby is trying out any restaurants that serve great food be it hole in the walls or celebrity-style eateries. Joy Feast was one of our "fortunate" accidents during Mother's Day weekend. Since it just opened, there were no ridiculous long lines and service was great. And the food was FABULOUS!! Being Asians ourselves, we are very familiar with its cuisine and we were surprised that it was healthy as well. My fiancee often suffers from cluster headaches and it was great to find out he didn't have an episode because there was no MSG!! Even better they deliver!! And since we order many times, they recognize our phone number and know we are great customers. They are definitely our number #1 choice in Burbank.

What a joke - I am an east cost transplant and all I can say is what is wrong with you guys! I guess you don't know what flavor is. Their food has none. And while the portions were generous, I felt their prices were high and the staff cold.

I love this place! It's so sweet. I really like the lunch special. What a steal. You get soup, your meal (for me always the sesame chicken with brown rice), plus you get an eggroll not to mention hot tea. If you don't try this place out, you won't ever know what you are missing

I was very pleasantly surprised. My usual expectations of chinese restaurants are not too high. I usually think of Panda Express or some other chinese fast food joint when I think about chinese food, but Joy Feast is not your typical chinese restaurant at all. The quality and taste of the food was SPECTACULAR. After "feasting" at Joy Feast, you will never want to eat at another chinese restaurant again.

Chopstick Chinese Restaurant is now known as Joy Feast Chinese Restaurant. With lunch specials betwen $5 and $6, it makes the perfect lunch stop for nearby studio employees. I personally eat lunch here at least once or twice a week and have tried almost every lunch special on the menu. The one time I tried ordering an entree, it was the braised duck with chinese pancakes. The duck was overcooked and dry, and the pancakes were stale. Their hot and sour soup is quite tasty, and their paper-wrapped chicken excellent. I highly recommend their lunch specials. Local studio employees get 10% off; be sure to check that your company gets the discount.

Pros: inexpensive lunch specials, they do take credit cards (even amex!)

Cons: no parking (limited out front but most of us walk here)

it is close enough that we tried it once. It is not a good place to get chinese food. There is limited parking in front of the resturant. And the price is not cheap at all.
