Do not let the previous reviews dissuade you from going to Aaron Brothers in Glendale. Yes, they are a little more expensive than other vendors, but it has been my experience that you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap frame, buy a $ 12.99 poster frame at Big Lots or Michaels. I have used the custom framing services to frame gifts and the recipients have been brought to tears over the beauty of the gift. The knowledgeable staff, in particular, Tereza help advise and provide solutions, especially if you are dealing with a limited budget. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

Let me preface this review by saying that the service was so bad that it prompted me to join this site. I went to the Culver City store to have two mats cut...that's all. First, I had to hunt down the one employee on the floor, who took over 20 min just to ring up my order (after all the choices were made). I was told that my order would ready in 9 days, but probably much less since the mats were in stock. I called on the 9th day and was told that the mats were not ready AND that my order didn't exist because someone must have "deleted it." Orders must get deleted often, because the guy I spoke to didn't even sound surprised that my order was missing. SHADY! Of course it only took them about 2 hours to cut the mats, since they had them IN STOCK the whole time. When I asked to speak to a manager, I got an assistant manager who tried to give me the run-around about the delay to avoid explaining why my order "mysteriously got deleted." No effort towards customer service at all. Overall, I spent $60 for two white mats that could have been cut anywhere else with much less hassle and shadiness.

Since I do the majority of my shopping online these days, I don't visit Aaron Brothers as often as I did a year ago...but I still make the occasional trip when they've got a frame sale going on. I have used their custom framing services, and I can say that I was generally unimpressed. This specific Aaron Brothers location has done only a couple of pieces hanging in our home. Sadly, the matte on one framed piece was crooked...well, that's not quite correct. One of the angled cuts seems to have been "tried" a couple of times. A second piece we had framed came out just fine. With the amount of money you pay to get framing done these days, I feel more comfortable going to a professional framing store.

I took a photo to Aaron's Brothers for framing. I wanted to give the picture and frame as a gift to an out of state friend. The saleswoman who helped me promised me that the frame would be ready two days later (when I had to leave for my trip). When I arrived, I found that the frame was not ready. In addition, the saleswoman who helped me this time barely mumbled an apology. Aaron's Brothers is overpriced. If they do not have good service, they aren't worth the cost. I will not use Aaron's Brothers again, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

The sales staff is very nice and helpful, but that does not make up for the overpriced mediocre work. The custom work done for me was hit and miss, and it cost me a fortune. I know better now.

Aaron Brother's is a pretty overpriced frame store. I wasn't impressed at all. You can get stuff much cheaper at Michael's and I'd even venture to say a better selection. Probably because they specialize in framing, they charge a bit more, but I did not really see what the big deal was.
