Genie Car Wash

Note that this is for the University Ave Location: My family have been their customers for 10yrs and I now know that we should have never trusted them. They told me that it was time to do a flush when I just wanted an oil change. 20mins later, my check engine light came on. I went back to them the same day and told me that they were not at fault and had to be a problem with my spark plugs. I got new spark plugs and even got new wires. Problem worsen week by week and now I have to pay $500 to fix what they damaged in the first place (my mechanic told me that it was genie car wash's fault.) What bothers me the most is that they care more about money than their customers. When I asked them to reset my ECU (he first didn't know what it was so I had to explain to him) and then told me that it would cost me $40 to do it (it takes 2 seconds!) HORRIBLE PEOPLE. CARELESS. ESPECIALLY THE MAIN GUY AT THE REGISTAR IN THE OIL CHANGE. (He lies when he says "For you, I'll do it for $5 less)...He gives it to everyone.

I thought I got the car wash and oil change in February and gave the man drying the car a basic tip and the personnel had me leave the lot without details on the oil change but had me drive away with the mileage sticker and a smile. Last Friday at Miramar Road my truck stopped unexpectedly upon immediate wear and tear from no oil after 2 months ago then went to Ford Dealer and they laughed at my diagnosis to fix regarding major damage to my 2005 engine. I'm a local here in San Diego, everyday since Friday when my truck stopped and was stranded, I've lost work. I have heard from 5 parties since Friday that similar events happened to them from same location and now have plans to investigate with my receipts as I am confident I've been on top of my previous oil changes.

I had my car detailed and they damaged the paint on the hood. The detail job was sloppy and worthless. They refused to take responsibility. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Takes a little extra time but its well worth it because they do a exellent job! I think its the best car wash I've ever been to. They are very good at washing the windows, and thats the main thing for me. I also dont have to wash my car for another two weeks now.

Genie Car Wash offers a great deal-a free car wash with the purchase of an oil change. The free car wash includes the outside as well as the inside and tires. The staff is always friendly and does an excellent job. Because of the great deal and the quality service, Genie Car Wash gets busy really quickly! If you are interested in trying this place out, make sure to get their early or be ready to wait a little while.

This place is great! They change your oil for only 2 bucks more than Jiffy Lube but they give you a free wash, all while you wait. Granted it may take 45 minutes or more if it's a busy afternoon. Saturdays are packed, so try to avoid it if you're in a rush. There's a 7-eleven and other restaurants across the way so you can go there while you wait.
