I went here twice. The first time was for 3 alterations and 1 jacket cleaning. I went back 4 days later to pick up the items, and the alterations were done, but the jacket was sitting in the to-be-altered pile and hadn't been cleaned. It wasn't even there for any alteration! I had to come back the next day to pick up the jacket. What's more, one of the alterations was poorly done!

The second time I went to get a pair of pants hemmed. When I returned four days later to pick it up, they handed me the pants wrapped up in their plastic and everything. I got home, though, and discovered no work had been done to the pants and the safety pins were even still in them! When I went back the next day, I actually had to argue with the owner to get some sort of voucher for a free cleaning to make up for the inconvenience, and all he ended up giving me was a free shirt cleaning!

The poor quality of the work and crappy customer service drove me away from this place!

Pros: convenient parking

Cons: poor quality alterations, disorganized business, terrible customer service

I don't understand the low price comment from some of the other reviews. The price on the door says most items $2.50, but that only means pants. I went in with 13 items and ended up paying $61.00. Here is a list of the charges as per my receipt:

(price per piece, total)
4 Dry Pants (2.50, 10.00),
3 Dry Jackets (5.50, 16.50),
4 Dry Dress (6.50, 26.00),
1 Dry Sweater (3.50, 3.50),
1 Dry Jacket Zipper (5.00, 5.00),

Total 61.00

I can't believe they charge 6.50 for a dress. By dress I mean simple work dress, nothing elaborate. This place is outrageous. They don't even have coupons available. Try doing a search on superpages for a dry cleaners near you with a website. They usually offer 20% off coupons and have overall lower prices. This place is a rip-off.

Pros: nearness - tho paragon is 10 feet away

Cons: anything & everything

How can a cleaner not remove stains? What are they doing then: praying for their removal? In addition to ruining a men's long shirt by the upper lat area, which was just brought in for laundry (no stain removal or other "special treatment"), they had the gall to say that it was an "old" shirt of poor quality (this about a 100% cotton Brooks Brother's shirt that was about 4 years old, max 5), the damage obviously looked like a spill and when I brought it in and asked, the owner goes: 'we don't do spills' -- although later on acknowledge that they don't do the cleaning -- so how could he know the actual cleaners don't do spills. A month later, I brought in a shirt and showed them 2 spots on them, they charged me almost as much to launder the shirt for what they called "stain removal" -- and then didn't remove the stains. I could laundered the shirt myself with my regular laundry, using easy off and just pressed it myself, or brought it into them just for pressing. When I called them on, they were as typically rude as always.

Sure, if you live nearby and are bargain concious, like someone else wrote, and don't care about your clothes, but frankly I'd prefer to go someplace a few blocks away that does a good job, is polite and courteous, appreciates my business and does give me BS charges.

Pros: Cheap - however if they are ruining and not cleaning your clothes, who cares?

Cons: Rude service, nickle and dime charges

I've gotten great service from these guys. The other day I dropped off both my suits and was unexpectedly called into work the next day. I called them up and asked if I could get my suits by 3pm and they said no problem. I tried to give them a tip which they flat out refused. I use this place all the time and always receive friendly service. On one occasion they did give me the wrong jacket though.

Price for dry cleaning 2 2pc suits: $13.00

I went there because they charged 99-cents per item, but the prices went up. And I had this ongoing battle (which I always lost!) over the definition of "long" dresses... they always charged me the "long dress" price, even for mini-dresses. Petty? Maybe, but still..

I have been coming to this dry cleaners for over 15 years, and one change of ownership. I even remember the time they were closed down by the IRS for not paying their taxes. Although the price is right (under $2 a piece) and the turnaround is speedy (next-day service), some of the staff are very rude, and it's not uncommon for clothes to get lost. If this place wasn't so convenient and close to my office, I would have given up on it long ago. Nevertheless, if you are a bargain hunter like me, you'll come here just for the low prices and quick turnaround.
