You have changed my life
by Eric N.
OK. I had to write a review about this place, because like most of you I am CRAZY about my dog.
I used to take my dog to this "cage free" place where they never separated my dog from the other dogs. Also the place I went to had a bed for the overnight person to go to sleep. Sounds a little stupid if your supposed to be watching dogs In my opinion you shouldn't be sleeping.
The biggest problem I had with that "cage free" place was my dog was not able to relax at night. He was constantly on guard, and as a result came home and slept for literally 3 days. At first I thought it was because he was playing a lot, but after a few times of taking him there I realized he had such anxiety at night and was constantly watching his back - He needed his space at night. His own room!
Then I found Rover, and my (and my dogs) life changed. Firstly Rover has 4 big play areas and my boy gets to play ALL day. But when he eats and sleeps he gets his own room. Plus THERE IS NO BED on the premises. Rover does not let their overnight person go to sleep. He is actually watching the dogs. WOW someone actually getting paid to do what they SHOULD be doing, what a novel idea.
After getting my baby home from Rover he was much happier and didn't seem as if he had been drugged with valium.
Another HUGE reason why that other place sucked was because if I didn't pick up my dog during business hours they kept my boy there overnight, and charged me for a full night. Rover lets me pick up my dog after hours. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
If anyone is even considering bringing their loved one to a "cage free" place where they never separate their dogs just ask them 2 questions.
1) Where and how do they feed all of the dogs?, and
2) Do you have a bed here for your overnight person? If they say yes, but they don't sleep, then ask yourself this question.
Why the hell do you have a bed for your overnight person?
Thank you again Rover, you have truly changed my life.

Response to the disgruntled employee review.
by Jeffrey M.
The previous review was written by a disgruntled employee. I invite everyone to come in and see first hand exactly how we run our business. Your dogs happiness and safety are our main concerns. My wife, and co-owner Nikki Ferraro is the executive Vice-president of Much Love Animal Rescue. We have been involved in the dog care business for well over 10 years. We love each and every dog that comes to stay with us. Again come on in and see for yourself.

"ROVER RAVE" IS MORE LIKE "ROVER RAGE"
by Preemie C.
'ROVER,' commonly known as the glorious 5 star dog boarding facility in Culver City, indeed blows your mind upon arrival. The initial visual tour of what seems to be a 5 star amenity hotel fIt for humans, is paralyzed by the chronic urine stench which could easily debilitate a male Silverback Gorilla. The dynamic owner, 'Jeffrey' greets and engages each potential client, coolly displaying his mastery technique of dog behavior. His aura of confidence assures you that your best friend will receive the most professional, hands-on care and personalized attention possible during his/her stay.
"Spring water, purified oxygen systems, and the Westminster dog groomer is on staff!!" When I heard all this I naturally thought to myself, "Wow, when will MY room be ready???"
During my dog's 2 week boarding period I called Rover to check in on my little pal and was assured every time that he was "happy, eating well and doing perfect." I keenly recall the 'perfect' part sounding just a bit too perfect--- actually a lot too perfect--
Upon my arrival home, the first encounter with my beloved pup was devastating. The groomer brought him out and I instantly saw he was surprisingly underweight. In the groomer's other hand, he insultingly held out 10 gigantic dreadlocks, insinuating that my husband and I were neglectful and irresponsible owners! My mouth dropped open speechless...
For Rover staff to allow my dog to develop this mangled mess of a head and then blame ME upon my return, told me they'd barely even touched him over the 2 week period.
The Rover nightmare sadly continued/continues to our home today... For one month my dog has been miserably sick with diarrhea, a hacking cough etc. and is on antibiotics. He was diagnosed by my vet the day after pickup with Kennel Cough AND rampant Giardia parasites. My home has become a hospice and I'm practically ready for my vet tech certification.
BEWARE: Kennel Cough and Giardia among other communicable illnesses while severe, can and should be controlled by vigilant and properly sanitized kennels!!! These diseases are NOT run of the mill, or innocent 'doggie flus,' as Jeffrey conveniently put it--
TIPS FOR ROVER: The bottled water, and fancy Tshirts, your Westminster dog groomer and even your name dropping 'colleague' Cesar Millan don't quite seem to be paying for my dog's medical bills, nor does the free bath you offered me resemble the word called 'compensation.' That bath offer is truly laughable, really.
Here's some HONEST elementary career advisement from a Licensed School Counselor: : You don't earn a business degree or a doctorate in veterinary science from knowing how to walk a dog!! Ethics and hygiene are essential for proper kennel management!!!
Rover is the glitziest, most poorly run, and moreover a dishonest facade of a business operation. The worst part is that the dogs have to pay the price for this HEALTH HAZARD disguised as a 'resort.'

Best in LA!
by Yuli K.
From the first interaction with the staff on the phone, to Kimba coming home was great, professional, courteous, just an above average experience.
I was so impressed that I scheduled our other dog for basic training. Being an experienced dog owner I was shocked to see what an amazing difference "Rover" made in 3 weeks. WOW!! Great work.
The only thing that would make it better would be to clone Jeffrey!!!

100% The BEST place for my dogs
by Eric B.
Rover is the only place to bring your dog in Los Angeles. I have 2 doggies and they always come back happy and healthy.
They even offer 24 hour pick up services.
Their spa services are second to none.
The staff is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. I can't say enough about this place. You have to go see it for yourself.

Not Too Shabby
by John S.
I liked this place. The front desk guy was very personable and professional. But, the real critic was my two bulldogs...
They came home happy and that's all that mattered to me and my two kids. The place is really nice looking too. They seem to really care about you versus your dollar.
Overall, I'd gladly recommend Rover to my friends and family.
PROS: Really nice lobby. Nice employees too.
CONS: They only open for two hours on Sundays. Not as convenient as I would like.

Really Great Experience
by Carmen H.
I was there over the weekend because I had an emergency and had to leave town. When I picked my dog up, his tail wouldn't stop wagging. The employees are really nice. They take their time to explain the service options and even evaluate your dog right on the spot.
I used to go to another place, but I changed when my friend told me about ROVER. I am so glad I did. I really loved this place. I'll be here forever.
PROS: Everything

Simply the BEST
by Jay G.
They put their hearts into this facility, and you can tell the moment you walk through the door. Everyone truly cares about the dogs, and it ain't no act. I have found a home for my precious pug. You really need to go there and take a tour. You'll be glad you did.
PROS: Great clean facility, lovey staff, competant owners, true dog lovers.
CONS: Hard to find at first, parking can be tricky.

Of all the dog boarding places I've seen this one is the best without being too over-the-top.. I've seen some doggy places that are just way too outrageous and fancy.. I love my dog but $60 a night? No way.. Rover is a lot more reasonable than that and most importantly, you know that your dog is safe with them.

I took my dogs here b/c of the favorable review that I read on insiderpages. I am glad that I did. The facility is pristine, the staff is friendly and very competent, and the owner is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced trainer. They have an in-house training "boot camp," which we opted to do when our dogs were boarded for 2 weeks over the holidays. It is not cheap, but it was well worth it, and our marginally behaved dogs came home infinitely more obedient. I HATE kennels, but this is a different place altogether.

You can just feel the LOVE here!!
by chefvj
If you LOVE your dog (like I LOVE my dog, Molly) you'll LOVE Rover Kennels. You can tell that this is a labor of love and that the dogs are in great hands. You can bring your special dog in for a stay & they come back groomed & smelling clean & pretty!!! They also have a great little pet boutique along with pet photography (hmmm, I wonder if pup Molly would sit still long enough to get her photo done). I bet owner, Jefferey could do it!! His photos have such great personality. I am so happy to have found Rover and highly recommend it to any dog lover - you can rest easy if your "rover" is at Rover's!!
Pros: clean, loving staff!!

Best boarding and even better photography
by triciaandjack
We bring Jack to Rover and he loves it! But I also want to thank Rover for taking such incredible photos of Jack. They are amazing... so Jack! You really caught the essence of his personality in every photo! You have a real gift in your photography. You just make it so hard to choose! I love each photo so much. Thank you so much for taking such great care of him while we are away. It makes our vacations so much more enjoyable to know Jack is on vacation also.

Best care and training EVER!!!
by Jouhawkins
My pups love coming here and it's a combination of great service, loving staff and a positive and healthy environment that makes the kennel similar to 5star luxury hotel!!! We put our dogs through training and we got more than what we expected! I also love how the kennel caters to the owners by providing refreshments and pet photograhpy service.

the BEST dog care anywhere
by rachelaschwartz
honestly, we can't say enough about this place and STRONGLY recommend them. the most important feature they offer is peace of mind (no i don't work for them). everyone there truly loves dogs. after hours pick up and feeding (canidae unless you bring your own food) has been a life saver for us. our dog LOVES going to rover to play for doggie day care. dogs are grouped and monitored in a way that we have found totally reassuring. if your pet has a longer stay, they are groomed before you pick her up. we'd never go anywhere else.
Pros: caring staff, great communication with pet owners, convenient, clean

ROVER is the ONLY place I trust with my pooch
by jakedawg79
Rover is the ONLY place I will take my dog! Sydney (my pup) was a neglected rescue who was in desperate need of training. Rover gave her a complete new lease on life and now she is the most well behaved dog I could ever ask for. Gentle, yet firm - their training programs are the most effective i have ever seen. In addition, Rover is the only place that I trust to board Sydney when I got out of town. They handle each and every dog with tender loving care and their facilities are immaculate. Their staff treats you like part of the family and Sydney now gets her 'bath and brush' at Rover's grooming facility too. It's a one-stop shop for all things dog related and I couldn't be happier with them! I recommend it to all my friends and co-workers! LA simply has no better place!

Five Stars!!!!
by jenjb
I couldn't believe how nice Rover was the first time I went there for my dogs interview. The customer service was and is amazing!!! I'm a worried parent, anytime I leave my dog, but I don't have to worry about her there. Everytime I take her to Rover for overnights, day play or grooming, she can't wait to get out of the car. When I pick her up her tail wags and her ears are up she's so happy!!! I know they take extra care of my girl, I'm so glad to have found them!!! I'll never leave my dog anywhere else!!!
Pros: Friendly service, Parking
