Joy is definitely a bit of a hidden gem in a small strip mall, but the food is worth the trip. Great hand-made noodles, ribs, garlic string beans, and amazing pot stickers. These are not your usual pot stickers from chinese fast food places -- these are really authentic and delicious. Definitely worth a try!

This place is a little hidden -- you wouldn't think that there would be a restaurant here, as it is mostly a residential area. But keep looking, and you'll find it in a little plaza off of Beach Park Blvd.
It seems like they have 2 different menus, one in English and one in chinese -- and they're not the same. We're pretty bad at reading Chinese, so we opted for the English menu. This menu however, catered more towards the "Kung-Pao chicken" and "Mu-shu Pork" type of deal (although I personally like mu shu pork ;P ). We wanted some more authentic stuff, so we braved the Chinese menu and ordered some things that we could recognize. We weren't disappointed!
We had the Lion's head dish (tzu-ze-toe, describing these large meatballs with napa cabbage in a big stew pot with broth - delicious!) the steamed soup dumplings (shiao-loong bao, pork dumplings with hot soup contained in a dumpling wrapper -- i've had better elsewhere, some of these had no soup in them), and the A-choy (veggie-- yum).
It's a little "hole-in-the-wallish," but I still liked it a lot.

Not many Chinese cuisine themed restaurant offer authentic Taiwanese food. Joy is one. Though it used to be better. I think they had a new chef. Go there on weekends to try Chinese Style Breakfast/Brunch.

You just have to try the tofu dishes at the Joy Restaurant. You would never imagine those are tofu - they are so flavorful and tasty, so fregrant and moist - nothing like the tofu you make at home. I live the soups at the Joy Restaurant as well - but the tofu is my favorite.

The prices at the Joy Restaurant are comparable to any other asian restaurant in the city. the location is great because it is located on the beach park blvd - and overlooks a great looking neighborhood.

Tasty Taiwanese food, especially Stinky Tofu with either steamed or fried styles or Beef soup noodles (hand made noodles). Every dish is good size but a liitle bit pricy.

PROS: Good dishes
CONS: waiter /waitress's attitude
