5 Stars: little unknown (by judy l.)

almost don't want to share this hidden treasure. food is excellent! rotating specials. small and cozy. candles on tables. prices are fitting for the food that you get (not too bad, but well worth it). they have the usuals (pad thai, pad see ewe, tons of curries) and the not so usual (their tofu satay is so yummy, full of flavor and you know tofu usually doesn't have that much flavor). so check it out. parking might be difficult.

5 Stars: Great Thai Food! (by marmotlover)

My husband and I love Patpong! It is our absolute favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay Area - super friendly service, excellent food, no wait, and great prices. We live in San Mateo now, but still make a special trip up to the city to eat at this restaurant (and this is with a 7 month old baby too). Our favorite dish is the Pad Kee Mao - it is delicious and rather spicy. I also love the yellow curry chicken - excellent. If we could, we would dine here weekly. Whenever we have friends visiting from out-of-town, we always bring them to Patpong. If you have room after dinner, you should order the dessert platter! Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

5 Stars: Great spot (by hone9859)

You won't be sorry here. Parking is a little bit of a challenge, although I understand there is a lot nearby where they validate (that I couldn't find). The food is outstanding and the wait staff is very friendly and seemingly always nearby regardless of the crowd. Best Thai I've found in the city so far!

5 Stars: Great food, great price. (by amorg)

I almost didn't want to review this place because I want it all to myself...it's that good. Food is consistently good, and the menu has a wide variety. The prices are unbelievably reasonable. It's small but not cramped, and there's never a wait.

4 Stars: Gem (by Amy M.)

I read reviews of this restaurant before choosing it, and they didn't lie: it's a gem. The food is surprisingly excellent, and the same goes for the prices. I had a glass of tasty Riesling for $3.50; their alcohol is cheap and good. The fried plantains with coconut icecream for dessert was well made and not greasy. Get your parking validated in one of the lots nearby.

5 Stars: excellent food, friendly service (by wilsonian)

This is one of my favorite restaurants in SF. The staff are friendly and attentive, the prices are reasonable, and the food is excellent. There are a lot of good Thai restaurants in the Bay Area these days, but for authentic Thai food in a friendly atmospher you can't beat Patpong!

5 Stars: We loved this restaurant! (by Molly B.)

When we lived in the area we ordered from here at least once a week! The peanut sauce is amazing and we loved the Pad Thai. They made quite a bit of vegetarian options. The prices are decent (especially since they always had coupons!). We usually ordered delivery and it came faster than any other restaurant we've ordered from!

PROS: Great food, reasonable prices
CONS:

5 Stars: Love this place (by tinabee2)

If you want good Thai food, good atmosphere and great service, come visit Patpong. While the menu is somewhat standard, I have never ordered anything that wasn't good or very good. The staff go out of their way to serve you, and there is almost never a wait.

5 Stars: Ultra Tasty! (by amikwok)

Patpong's January 30% off dinner special enticed my 3 girlfriends and I to try this neighborhood Thai place out for the first time, and boy, did we have a pleasant experience. Prices did not prohibit us from trying 4 different dishes and the Tom Khar soup. The Vegi Pad Thai was tasty. Most other places make it really dry, but not here. Gang Keo Warn Gai had a hint of heat, but not too much. Perfect for the non-spicy eaters. The best dish had to have been their special of the night-- Ginger Red Snapper. Fresh fillets of snapper with a mixture of baby asparagus spears and 2 varieties of mushrooms. YUMMY! Service was excellent. We will definitely be back for another meal. Thank you, Patpong, for a great dining experience!

5 Stars: Best Thai in SF! (by i_love_sf)

I have been going to Patpong for almost 3 years now, since I moved into the 26th/Clement neighborhood. Their Thai food is some of the best I have ever tasted; fresh ingredients, unique dishes, etc - and I have lived in NYC and Chicago. Best of all is the service. The owners treat you like family. I would highly recommend Patpong.
