This museum is amazing. They have very old Disney cartoons that everyone child and adult should see! It also has one of the world's largest private owned collections of rare and exotic manuscripts. There is so much to see, you could easily spend all day there. Very easy to find.

The Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum is a treasure that has not been discovered by some. It's a unique museum because it contains quite unusual manuscripts, documents, and artifacts. One time I went and saw an unusual exhibit of Civil War artifacts and documents. They have just finished an exhibit dedicated to Amelia Earhart. They often also have guest speakers visit. The museum is small enough so that you can get through it in a couple of hours because their exhibits are specialized on one particular subject.

The Santa Barbara Karpeles Museum is located right off of State Street on Anapamu St.

There are 8 other Karpeles Document Museums around the country, I believe, and this particular one is a winner. The others are probably as good as this one is - don't miss it. Best of all - Admission is FREE!

PROS: Wonderful exhibits!
CONS: none.
