2 Stars: it's ok... not that great (by mezula m.)

the sandwiches were pretty plain. didn't try the pastries, so can't comment on that. they forgot my order and I had to walk up to the counter to ask them about it... no biggie though.

3 Stars: A good neighborhood bakery (by Ram S.)

This is an excellent bakery that is in a very convenient location. Nothing like having a good lunch at the nearby restaurants of California Ave., and then stopping by for a snack. Or you can have one of their many excellent sandwiches.

I particularly recommend their Princess Cake and Cherry Bomb. They have very good brioches as well. I was very disappointed when they discontinued their petit fours. Those teeny tiny cakes were the right size for a diet concious person. If they continued to provide it, I will hike up their rating by a notch.

PROS: convenient location, excellent service, extremely delectable treats
CONS: selection is reducing to mundane: danish etc.

4 Stars: Palo Alto Baking Company (by Sarah D.)

Authentic pastry shop with well crafted baked goods that are not too sweet and full of flavor. Need to head out early on the weekend if you do not want to be disappointed because they sell out of many favorite items.

5 Stars: Delectable Baked Goods (by P S.)

This bakery offers traditional French pastries, cakes, breads, etc. in a quaint, local setting. One can eat breakfast or lunch there, as well as order cakes for events. The baked goods are to die for!

3 Stars: standard bakery stuff (by M P.)

the cakes, pies and cookies are good enough, nothing remarkable. Quiet place to meet for a cup of coffee or soup, which tends to be quite good. Don't be in a hurry though, cuz service is ssssslow.....
