Camera 12 Cinemas

I like this theater because they show a lot of the independent films that aren't shown anywhere else. The theater is a little smaller than some of the bigger ones around this area.

I was shocked when I saw the size of this theater. It is probably the smallest one I've ever been in. With that said, it is also one of the most charming. It has some class and edge because it strays from the social norm and dares to show a majority of independent films and documentaries. They are not afraid of going after the obscure. I like going here when I'm in the mood to watch a movie that makes me think. This is a good theater for a date, it has an intimate feel to it.

PROS: unique movie list, lots of independents
CONS: if you're used to megaplexes, this ain't your cup of tea.

Camera Cinemas in their various numerical incarnations have offered the best in foreign and independent films in San Jose for many years now. Since taking over the "12" in downtown, not only are they continuing to offer the best of "small" movies....but they can offer some commercial films as well (helps to pay the rent, I'm sure!) I wish them all the success possible...we need them downtown.

it's real cozy. great people...good service. small place. big enough for 50 people a room. nice screen, great tasting popcorn! comfy seats, very clean!

people here are nice like no other. theatre is so small, like a mini classroom with a not so big screen that you would normally see. clean place. nice security.

this place is very small but the ticket prices are so cheap. the service is great. the rooms are REALLY small. they have DELICIOUS POPCORN with POPCORN FLAVORING!
