This group of womens physicians is more interested in office politics than patient care. Because I have seen one of the doctors before, but that doctor will be out for a month, I requested to see another doctor within the practice, just temporarily, just this once. I was refused care.

I explained that my health insurance is about to run out and that it has been three years since I've had a routine exam and I have reason to believe something is wrong with me.

I was told "the doctors do not like it when you switch" and therefore b/c once, three years ago I had seen one of the doctors in the group, I was turned away.

That is an outrageous and immoral policy. I was perfectly happy with my doctor but now cannot stomach going to her for being a part of this group.

These doctors need to get their priorities in line. Do they want to play politics or do they want to care for people?

Really disgusting.

Pros: Competent doctors

Cons: Self-serving policy

They care more about internal politics than patient care. Their policy of not changing docs (even in an emergency) left me cold. I do not recommend.

My doctor will be out for a month and since I am about to lose my health insurance and it has been three years since my last exam, I asked if I could see another doctor inside the practice, if only temporarily --this one time. I was refused service.

I was told that "they don't like it when you switch doctors." But I am not really wanting to switch doctors I just need medical care and fast.

Their policy is outrageous and morally wrong. I will never see my original doctor again if only because of guilt by association. When I start my new job you can bet I will never go back to this office.

Shame on them. They must change their policy to be more flexible --especially in this economy.

I saw Dr. Betty Lee for a year and she delivered my first baby. She's a nice, competent doctor but really needs to work on her bedside manners. I always had to ask her questions regarding my pregnancy..she rarely offers any suggestions or words of advise even though it was my first baby. I had to be induced since my baby was late. I was in labor for 15 hours, and she showed up only once for 5 minutes during the whole time to check up on me. Maybe this is what busy doctors do these days, but I thought I deserved more attention from her. When she finally arrived to perform the C-section, she didn't even introduce herself to my husband! Overall, if you don't care about bedside manners, then she's ok. She's in a group with other doctors and the office is always busy. No HMO.
