Gorgeous escape for a day. The views from the top is absolutely some of the best scenic views i have seen. On a clear day you can see alll the way to the ocean.
I have come up here numerous times for snowboarding and have had so much fun. It was a great place for me as a beginner to learn to board. The reason being is that its usually not packed since most people are off at mammoth. But even though there arent a ton of trails I have had so much fun each time. Slide, fall on butt, get up,, repeat..

This year I had more than one bad experience here. My board flew off the chair because the lift op forgot to the bar down. Tried to get help, the mountain manager was drunk and offered none. The parking attended has everyone park what seems a foot away from the other cars, hello I have ski gear. And I truly believe "Ski Host" only job is to cut lines on powder days. Once the ticket office sold me a ticket and within 10 minutes they told be the mountain is closing down for weather conditions, no cash/credit refund, only a voucher.
Overall its unsafe and shady business practice. Wouldn't be surprised if California Commission of Wages and Compensation shuts them down.

I have been coming here for years. This year more than once did I question coming back.

During a snow storm my board flew off the chair because the lift op forgot to put the bar down. The mountain manager was drunk, this was in the morning offered zero help.

More than once did I ask for help getting my kid on the chair lift instead the operator just stopped the chair and I had to put my kid on the chair.

The best was when they sold me a ticket and within 10 minutes the mountain closed due to the weather, no cash refund, only a voucher.

nice place to ride mt bikes and hike in the summer, but don't go there to ski... very old slow chairlifts and hardly any snow make the drive up the hill not very worth putting on the chains.

A beautiful escape from the city. A panoramic view of Mt Baldy and when you get to the top you can can see the entire city. It's cheap and thrilling to ride. In the summer and the winter.
