2 Stars: not that great (by judy j.)

I was in yesterday and it half as great as when my father (Russell Larsen) worked there some 45 or 50 years ago. Judy (Larsen) Johnson. My dad had great produce and had it in the front window which made a beautiful display.

4 Stars: Meats, cheeses, wines & more (by Wendy W.)

I love Piedmont Grocery. I feel that everything in the market is selected with utmose care. The fruits and vegetables are high quality, they offer a huge selection of cheeses, including the ever elusive Goat Mozarella, and they have real butchers, cutting and preparing real fish, meat, chicken, etc.

The butchers are extremely knowledgeable, and will give great cooking tips. They also have knowledgeable staff to help with wines.

The downside... it's expensive. I would recommend buying produce, meats, and cheese (plus any specialty products), but buying your staples will cost you an arm and a leg.
