Before my son went to this school, he was very excited and I too was very excited since I read all the reviews about this school, but after my son started at this school, his attitude about going to school changed, he would not get out of bed when it's time to go to school and if he does, he would start crying and did not want to go to school at all, and starts throwing up (nerves)without even eating yet. This went on for about 3-4 wks, after a long conversation and encouragement to our son every morning, my husband would patiently take him to school for half day only. When his school contract ended, chatting with my son on the way home, my son said something that hit me so hard I felt so bad for letting him go back to school the entire time. My son did not feel safe and happy while he was in this school. I do not want to elaborate on what my son had told me about his experience with this school, I would just advise parents to think twice before you enroll your kids to this school. School is supposed to be fun, teachers are supposed to keep our kids safe and make sure that school is not just about learning but also fun and patience with the kids.

Imagine your child asking to go to school, urging you to hurry up and get ready in the morning so you can drive her to the place. I had more mornings than I can put a number on during our year at the Pre-K Academy. My daughter couldn't wait to get to school. A safe nurturing place, the Pre-K Academy program includes academics, sports, free play, a bilingual program, nature walks, art projects, water play, puppet shows, science experiments, cooking projects, monthly field trips and so much more.

Everyday brought more excitement about learning. Our little girl blossomed absorbing everything she was learning like a sponge. She wanted to keep practicing her lessons each day so she asked her to dad to sit with her every night to work on the letters and numbers. It wasn?t long after that we began hearing songs from her that we?d never heard before. It turns out we didn?t recognize them because our daughter was singing in Chinese! I believe the early exposure to foreign language has given her an ear for them; recently she began picking up Spanish as well.

Part of what made this experience so accessible was the small size of the class. The school building can accommodate 50 children and the playground is large enough for 108 active preschoolers yet the school has made a conscious decision to cap their attendee number at 24. Not only does this ensure lots of space for students, it guarantees lots of individual attention. My husband and I believe this was key in giving our little girl the best start possible in her education.

Our daughter just graduated and moved onto Kindergarten. She had no qualms or nevousness about the transition. Kindergarten is set-up as a goal at the beginning of pre-K school year, talked about and worked toward all year. She is thrilled and filled with confidence over achieving her goal. In two years, her brother will be a student at the Pre-K Academy and we look forward to having another experience with the school.
