if you want the freshes fish and friuts and veggies this store is great.
one down fall. if you are not asian you dont get good service. if you can handle that you will have a great shop

We live pretty close to 99 Ranch Market so we go there a lot because it is convenient. The selection is pretty good but like some other reviewer has mentioned, it is not as big as some other store. They do have a pretty good sea food section here. It could get pretty crowded there also, especially during time when the restaurant in the same strip mall is busy.

We love getting whole fishes and other seafood here. They don't do a number system here, so you often have to elbow your way to the front. The employees don't always understand english very well, so be prepared to use hand signals. We also buy all of our chinese food ingredients here. I'm always surprised at how low my overall bill is when I check out. You won't find any organic produce, organic/free range meats, or any information on whether the seafood is wild versus farm raised. But sometimes that's okay with me.
The green vegetables are usually good and fresh, but I tend to avoid buying fruit here because it's often not very good.

They have many 99 Ranch Markets around bayarea and this is one of the earliest store they have opened. It is the smallest among the other stores. Prices are reasonable, but the store is always overcrowded during the weekends. The space between the cash registers and the item shelves are too close. This 99 Ranch location make shopping for grocery difficult. The parking lots are limited too.

This is another great Asian supermarket with cheap prices. Also free fish frying, which makes it very convenient. There is a wide variety of produce, meats and seafood, and is one of the cleanest Asian supermarkets with wider aisles like those of Safeway and Albertsons.

Ranch 99 offers a great selection of fresh seafood, fruits and vegetables as well as plenty of chinese style biscuits, teas, sauces that are used in Asian cooking in Taiwan, China and Southeast Asia. The best buys are the fruits and vegetables, which are cheaper than most other supermarkets such as Safeway or Albertson's. There are usually sales or promotional prices every week on special items, so it's great to take advantage of low prices to try out new sauces or new foods. They have a hot food section, where you can buy low priced takeouts. However, the takeouts don't taste very good.

PROS: Great selection and low prices
CONS: Hot food takeout not very good.

Overall grocery price is relatively low. But it is too crowded and unorganized. Some foods are expired! and some even don't have expiration date. It is also not very clean.
