Best course I've been to when it comes to a friendly environment! You're treated as family from the moment you walk in. Well balanced when it comes to beginners (inexpensive lessons and understanding instuctors) and those looking for more of a challenge. The course is extremely varied (doglegs, water, river, elevation, etc), and the Front 9 is great for practicing with irons. Very good price value as well. Highly recommended, especially for those with children who wish to have a shared family experience.

It's actually a Par 58 executive course specifically designed to work on your irons throughout. There are four Par 4 holes with the rest of the course being Par 3's. Challenging Par 3's at that. VERY friendly clubhouse as Derek and Adam are always willing to offer tips to improve your game and they also offer lessons for a small fee. Back 9 is where you'll break out your woods and if you hit your Driver around 250 yards like I do, you'll need it on the 10th and 18th holes. 12th hole is an intimidating Par 4 with a hard dogleg to the right where you have to go over the bending river to hit the fairway. Greens are a bit rough and vary in speed from hole to hole.

Let me just say, I'm a hack. I shoot anywhere between 84( my best round) and a 100. But I love this course. The front nine is short and straight.(Not Unlike myself). You should be able to tee off with irons the entire front nine. The scenery is not all that great either, but this course has a charm that occasional golfers can appreciate. NOT FOR HARDCORE GOLFERS. The back nine is a bit longer. Ten tees off behind the clubhouse down a hill. This is easily the most pleasent scenery on the course. Ten is irons short. Eleven, Twelve and Thir-teen are a bit longer and the remainder of he course is a relaxing jaunt around the river. I really recommend this course to the occasional golfer. An every weekend golfer will find this course easy and ugly. I find it entertaining and a good few hours out with my buddies away from the wife and kids.

A good course to hit irons but not so good for working on your woods. People are friendly. The course is a little overpriced. It's a good place for first time players to learn how to play. They offer lessons.

The driving range offers good prices for a bucket of balls. The grass is pretty well maintained for a driving range. The practice green is large and offers a fair amount of contrast for praticing. I haven't played the back 9, but the front 9 is good for iron work. Which is what I've been after. Small enough to walk with your bag and get a fair work out without being too tired.

Just like I said in my title, this course is great for your short game. It is an 18 hole course with only 2 or 3 par 4's and the rest are all par 3. The front 9 is very small. The shortest hole is roughly 60yds, while the longest hole does not exceed 130yds. The Back nine is pretty much the same, but may cause you to pull out a 3 or 5 wood on a couple holes. The course is small, but challenging. There are sand traps and many water hazards. If you are looking to improve your short game this is the place for you.
