Caprino's Italian Restaurant

I have had better Italian food at other restaurants, but in Belmont/San Carlos area, I'd say this is the best Italian restaurant to go to. I don't like the other prominent Italian restaurant in Belmont if you know which one I'm talking about.

The food is fantastic and the work staff is amazing!! Bright, friendly and willing to order off the menu. The bar is small but intimate. They have an extensive wine menu and with the mixed drinks, you get your money's worth. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. The owner, Anthony comes by and makes you feel like you are a VIP, even if its your first time. The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing, from the intimate dining area to the murals on the ceiling, this is a place to have a romantic dinner and an after dinner nightcap. It is worth a trip to visit Caprinos.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere. The waiter had an extensive knowledge about wine. We got a bottle with a screw top and it scared me a little but the waiter said wineries are moving toward this because of the cork very interesting. Also they have great foccasia bread you get at first. Then I had the chicken Marsala which was amazing. After I topped it off with a classy dessert wine. I will definitely go again.

I went here last night with two co-workers. We were in the mood for some great Italian food and wine and that is just what we got! The atmosphere is very nice and the huge windows create a great ambiance. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful when choosing the wine. he was also very friendly. As we waited for our food they brought out some great bread with a tasty balsamic vinegar and oil mixture. I think it had pine nuts or something else it it too-- it was great whatever it was. I would have been content with that but the food was even better! I split the chicken marsala with my friend. It was the perfect portion size! The chicken was terrific. The marsala sauce tasted phenomenal. The vegetables were fresh and tasty. The mashed potatoes were so fluffy and flavorful. I definitely recommend this dish. It looked like they had some great desserts but we chose to get port. It was only $5 per glass for the one that we chose. It was very good. This place is reasonable for the food and service you receive. I definitely recommend this for a date, a drink at the bar or a meal with friends.

You know... I like this place. Easy to get to from my house in Belmont. The food is great. the Atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Even if you want to skip dinner, and enjoy some wine at the bar, you won't be disappointed.
