I used to go to Mimmo's for subs when I worked downtown, and to be honest, it has been years and years, long before they started to open for dinner. I had just come from a very bad experience with Italian food in Thousand Oaks, and needed

Servicing Lunch and Dinner this is a great little charming place to go! Prices aren't to bad for the location but the atmosphere makes up for it all! Great place to have a light lunch with lots of flavor! Would recommend to anyone!

Grabbing only a light a lite lunch this quaint little shop has the world's best subs sandwiches if you like eggplant then you would like their baked eggplant sub truly delicious. With it's charming balconies you have the old charm feeling of Italy. Prices are good on the wallet.

At the end of an afternoon in Little Italy, we had a late lunch at Mimmo's. The setting was reminiscent of an quaint Italian backstreet with balconies and dim lighting.
The selection of food was great...we had the caesar salad and the pear and walnut salad; fantastic sub sandwiches...try the italian village sub and the grilled feta sub. Dessert was phenomenal...berries with marscapone cheese. Highly recommended. Only complaint is it needs air conditioning.

The lobster ravioli was just OK. The spicy shrimp linguine was cooked until it was goo. The lobster bisque was very good. Service was painfully slow. With all the good restaurants around in Little Italy it is a shame that Mimmo's Italian Village, with all it's decorative charm and ambiance, lacks quality food and service.

Pros: Nice interior and easy for conversation

Cons: food and service not up to par

I use to go to Mimmos quite often for lunch when I worked in the area. Their sandwiches are very good and cannot compare to any of the sub sandwich chains you see everywhere.

The atmosphere is great and it makes you feel like you are sitting in a small Italian village while eating your lunch.

Try it!

The pomodoro sauce is very, very, tasty and the whole table was dipping their bread into my pasta bowl. This restaurant is very reasonable, as I paid $10 for the best linguini pomodora I have ever had. The sauce carries a bit of a kick to it, but it is not as spicy as an arrabiata. Service is sketchy, but the price and taste of the food make up for it.
