Hot Wings Cafe on Melrose has been serving the Hollywood community with delicious hot wings since 1986, all in a warm and inviting environment. They were the first restaurant to introduce the concept of hot wings to the Los Angeles area. Hot Wings Cafe on Melrose draws enthusiastic fans from all over the city and state, for that matter. Hot Wings Cafe delivers a full menu of sandwiches and sides, but the bustling crowd is there for the wings, served mild, hot or extra hot; plenty of the house blue cheese dressing, carrots and celery are provided as well. Hot Wings Cafe is a favorite of locals and a must-visit for tourists. Choose from 4 flat screen TVs to watch your favorite team go for the win as you make a selection from the over 20 different kind of beer and wines. Hot Wings Cafe provides large party trays of hot wings for weddings, parties, corporate events and more.

Great spot for hot wings that will have you tearing

by Jennifer D. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,751

I go there everytime I go on Melrose to shop. It's a small cafe with a bigg menu you name it they have it with each dippin sauces. If i lived closer to the hot spot i would eat there atleast twice a week.

Price vary but worth it. individual meals or family size combo. A great Catering menu for your next hot events.

Go Melrose got to have the hot wing cafe.

Solid Wings

by Chris B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,268

Good Buffalo Wings are hard to come by in LA. We have ordered large amounts of their wings are many occasions and most everyone ended up happy. But, they still lacked something.

Hot Wings

by Matthew B. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,660

We have had wings with different sauces. They are all really good. I especially like them hot. I have never been disappointed. The wings are always fresh and the prices are reasonable.

Great place for chicken wings!

by sue e. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,547

If you love chicken wings, this is the place to go. Service is fantastic -- only beat by the yummy wings. They have spicy or mild. We love them both (but our kids just like the mild). This is a very casual, friendly place. Nice place to go with kids. Prices are very reasonable. Free parking outside, but sometimes hard to find a place. Nice to go for a walk on Melrose after dinner, too.

PROS: Fantastic Chicken Wings
CONS: Parking is free but sometimes hard to find

by docrich

Wow,
I absolutely LOOOOVVVEEE!!! Hot wings Cafe and they have been pretty consistent with quality for a number of years. All of my firends swear by their HOT WINGS...and I do agree...HOWEVER!!!!!! what has me coming back (many more times than I really should) is none other than their SPICY BARBECUE WINGS!!!!! If you have not tried them , then you are missing out. Definitely not your regular barbecue anything........I'm getting ready to make my order in a few minutes. Can't wait to eat them on a rainy Friday.

Pros: Spciy Barbecue Wings, LCD TV's to watch your favorite programs, good service

by tchurch1981

I had their chicken wings at the hot level and they were delicious!! I have had my fair share of wings and these were some of the best I have ever had, for sure the best in L.A. I also had their curly fries which came our fresh and hot. I would definetly reccommend this place to anyone who enjoys wings!

Pros: Great wings and service

Cons: none

Some of the best hot wings in LA

by hit2cho

Excellent wings. Especially because you can order mild, hot, extra hot, etc... Prices are reasonable and for the price, this is a no-brainer. You pay about $25 for a tray of 50 wings. Which, if you order the most spicy, you probably won't finish, even if you have several people with you. But don't get scared, you can order different levels of spiciness.

I always order to go and if they say that the wings will be ready in 25 minutes, I can walk in there at exactly 25 minutes and they will be waiting for me at the front counter. Excellent, speedy cooking.

Pros: mild, hot, extra hot, etc...

Cons: parking is sometimes somewhat of a hassle on melrose avenue if you are just picking up to go

good wings, very satisfying.

by jroots78

saw this place while searching online so i figured i would give it a shot. Ordered to go and the food was ready on time and it seemed like it was pretty full when I went in there so that was a good sign.

The wings were sort of similar to the ones i get back in NY. I had the hot and mild (yes been there twice in 2 weeks). The hot were not bad at all . I tried the french dip but was not to satisfied (after eating it at philipes I figured it could not touch it)

anyways i'm craving wings right now , i would definitely head back there. They are not the biggest wings in the world but not the smallest.

Pros: delicious . tasty. fast service

Cons: parking , small wings

Delicious late-night wings

by joanovarq

This is one of my favorite places to eat late at night. The hot wings are delicious -- I can't say much about the rest of the menu because we always get the wings. All the food is served in a basket and they have TV's on the wall. There is no atmosphere, but if you're hungry for wings after midnight, this is the place to go.

Pros: yummy wings, late hours

Cons: sleazy pool-hall ambience

Heat Fiend Heaven

by geetarman1976

Melrose. There IS parking around the corner at the Aaron Bros. that is free with validation. The wings come in mild, spicy, extra hott (my favorite), and spicy bbq. They are also crispy on the outside. Choose from several sides and ranch or bleu cheese for dipping. You also get a good amount of celery and carrot sticks to cool you down. Crunch, crunch! Be sure to bring a healthy appetite when you go. The wings may be a little small, but you get more than you can finish. I can barely finish twelve. With a side order, forget it. Not too expensive. Last time I went, I ordered one small order of wings, one side, and an iced tea which was promptly refilled when empty. About $10 per person. If you're in the mood for wings, I definately recommend!

Pros: extra hott wings, casual atmosphere, value

Cons: somewhat slow service

Best wings I've ever had!

by cpevey

I never really liked buffalo wings until I came to this place. The mild ones are flavorful without the heat. The BBQ ones are good, too. The hot ones are slightly numbing to the lips; I dont wanna know about the extra hots. I went with co-workers. The fried zucchini was very good; the onion rings are from fresh onions. The Chicken Works sandwich and the Chinese chicken salad looked very good. Great value for lunch. Our server came around with pitchers of drinks for refills. Only drawback for the Melrose location - you gotta park on the street. Been to Glendale and Pasadena; drink selection is better, and they have a nicer atmosphere (but you must park in metered or paid lots).

Pros: Great wings, Great appetizers, Great other stuff

Cons: U park in the street, Or a paid lot, But pros beat cons

Wings and Things

by yveTTE

I've been to both Hot Wing Cafe loc's. Melrose and in Old Towne Pas. The wings are very good, but also very small. The ranch for dipping is GREAT! Thick not runny. The fried zuchini is also good. The service in Pasadena is the best...If you want cold beer to wash those wings and things down, this is the place.

Pros: GOOD WINGS, GOOD COLD BEER, GOOD RANCH DRESSING

Cons: SMALL WINGS
