I used to work here a couple years ago until I moved to SoCal. As for the Store Manager Mike, Although he was never my boss,I have heard many complaints. It is sad to know customers are bypassed with a purchase/return. I am sure the workers are frustrated to deal with so much stupidity in the 8 hours they spend with people who haven't a clue in their little heads. This store used to be full of other associates who knew what they were doing, until now. With the exception of Gary, I am very surprised he is still there... He is awesome! And helpful unless the customer has an attitude prior to even entering this place. I don't blame anyone working there if customers are idiots. Some people's levels of tolerance can vary BUT so can stupidity. It is one thing about retail and why many places can give bad customer service, it is sometimes how the consumer perceives the service given. Some uppety people think everything should be handed to them as well as getting it FREE! Doesn't work that way, in many cases this is why bad reviews are given. I bet anything that Mike and Gary were the only two associates there. Also, that store has two departments to run. One of which is busier than the other. If you don't have time to stop in and ask your stupid questions and don't know what you need, expect to be there longer than someone who knows what they are doing. Regardless if your a shopper for 35 years in the Bay or not. Those years do not count to be considered a Professional in any way shape or form. As this reply comes from a 24 year old FEMALE who knows very well there is still plenty to learn in life, especially in dealing with the misinformed groups who seem to dwell just about everywhere you turn. To everyone reading this, remember it as you stand in line at every type of store you shop.

The store supervisor, Mike at Kragen Auto Parts in Monument Blvd Concord does not exercise Kragen's "I promise great service". We were standing in line for 15 minutes and was bypassed by Mike and serve somebody who came after us when he saw that we are returning/exchanging merchandise. All through the 1 hour that we were there he did not even help his co-worker, Gary who was so kind enough to help us even though he does not know how to do a return in the computer. He even yelled at me and threaten me to refuse service. This is the worst store I have shopped in more than 35 years I live here in the bay area.
