Well, \r\n\r\nI'm sorry I'm so late in the game of internet postings, but we at the Gold Rush would like to respond to Renee.\r\n \r\nWe're glad she feels we are friendly and knowledgable, but wish she would have said something to us about her stone not being straight. We set customers' stones while they watch, and have an open door to our workroom where we buff and steam the gold grit from the stone after it's set.\r\n\r\nIf any customer has a question about our workmanship we encourage them to let us know so we can make any adjustments. After all, in the end it is the customer who must be happy with their jewelry because they are the ones who will wear and enjoy it.\r\n\r\nRenee, we hope you can come in again so we can make you happy.\r\n\r\nThe Gold Rush

Ira and his team are amazing. My family has been going to him for years and he continually does a fantastic job. I brought a design to him for my fiancee's engagement ring and he made it even better than the original design. I wholeheartedly trust Ira to do a good job each time and to tell me what is best for my needs, not his pocketbook!

Pros: Quality, Honest, Affordable

After reading the positive reviews here, I went to Gold Rush Jewelers to have my diamond solitaire reset into a brand new mounting. Ira was so nice and friendly, I felt comfortable and had no worries. A customer in the store even told me how wonderful Ira's work is, and how pleased she is with everything. So, then why is the workmaship on the resetting so poor? What happened? My diamond is titled, the prongs have been bent and are not straight and the overall look of the setting is shameful. The new setting was perfect when I brought it in and Ira pre-set the stone in front of me. Then he went into the back of the store and something must have gone wrong. I don't know what happened, but when you look at the basket setting, the prongs are uneven and the stone itself is sitting on a slant instead of being properly set. A part of me wants to go back and ask him what happened and also ask that he correct the problems. But on the other hand, I am afraid that he may do even more harm to the ring. I mean, if he could not properly set a stone in a basket setting when it was perfectly new, how is he going to deal with the setting now that it had been ""damaged""? \r\nI am so disappointed.

Pros: Friendly, Very Knowledgeable

Cons: Poor Quality

As a customer of Ira's and the Gold Rush for over 30 years I cannot praise them enough. If you are looking for honesty and quality, this is your store. Ira is never too busy to help and never rushes you. Everyone gets the same treatment, no matter what they are spending.

My boyfriend and I went to Gold Rush to find an engagement ring. Ira, the owner, took the time to explain the quality and clarity of diamonds, which he didn't have to do, and was patient as we looked. We bought our rings there just because of their great service.

I found a ring and wanted to have it appraised. Took it to several local jewelery stores who just didnt seem to want to be bothered with it. Then I took it in to The Gold Rush. They were very helpful and friendly. Looked it over for me and let me know what it was worth. They are family owned.. very nice store. They also do custom jewelery. Would use again for sure.
