Grace is the best! I've been going to her since they opened in '05 and no matter where I move in LA I always schlep back there. Both nails and eyebrows, she is the best!! I'm actually sending this email from the wifi on my southwest

This place has a good parking lot, great signage, and the basic facilities of a B+ nail salon. It has three spas for pedicures and the rest is manicure stations + a backroom for waxing and skincare procedures.

I went on one occasion 30 minutes prior to closing time. There were 3-4 staff members available but they said "We're Closed". I went up the street to another nail salon, which stayed open for another 1-1/2 hours, and they were PACKED with customers. Their competitor's good work ethic and professional service = very satisfied customers!

I went on another occasion, again with 3-4 staff members available, and this time they argued amongst themselves in very abrasive sounding Korean. I heard loud Korean comments and then girls interrupting each other, with a few English phrases put in such as "Shut Up You!" to one another. It was a catfight.

I was serviced by the owner and then 2 of the staff members, but since they were all in some sort of argument, they pounded on my feet and did an extremely extremely sloppy job on painting the nails. Then they were angry when I left only 15% tip and I thought that was interesting because they argued during the entire duration of my visit and did not speak English very well. I was tense the entire time and just trying to get through without a peep.

I don't know if they added on any additional services (massaging? special foot scrub?) because as they mumbled something about pedicure, I nodded, and then they charged me $39.00. I went in for a simple mani pedi. Therefore, the speaking level of English is not good for someone and can risk adding to your bill.

I would not recommend this place unless you speak Korean. I am sure the girls are nice as they must have had an off day with their spat, but I say that the work ethic is shot and they are not happy working there. Unhappy employees = unhappy customers.

I've been going to Grace's for over a year. The manicures and pedicures are consistently good, the prices are very reasonable, and Grace and her staff are very sweet. Best of all, you get a great massage with your manicure or pedicure. The place is clean, relaxing and nicely decorated. You may have to wait if you walk in after 3pm, but the wait is worth it.
