I have been going here since i was a little girl when my boyfriend and i got together i found out that both of our favorite restaurant was THE MEXICO so that's were we went on our first date we love this place and so does our whole family its the best get the 2 shredded beef taco plate.

I grew up on Mexico Cafe. The Deluxe burrito, tostada, and chips and salsa were always my favorite things. But something has changed over the last couple years. I don't know if they have changed ingredients or management. I hope it returns back the way it was.

This place has pretty amazing Mexican food. The chips and salsa, the service, the entree, and the desert are all equally great. I definitely recommend going here if you have never been and are a fan of good Mexican food.

i love this place. my friends and i get together here for great food and drinks and the resturant was just redone not too long ago and it looks awesome inside. open and roomy and very nicely decorated during the holidays. everything on the menu is awesome!

I hate to give it an average rating...but the quality has gone down...

I am like the other reviewer....I grew up on Mexico Restaurant. The deluxe burrito and chips and salsa were always my favorite. Unfortunately, in the past year the quality had gone down. It doesn't taste the way it did and I don't know what the changes were, but you can definitely taste the difference. It is still good, but not as great as it used to be.

Shockingly expensive for average food and drinks.

This was my favorite spot 10 years ago, I mean-I grew up eating at the Mexico Restaurant. Took some vip's there for my boss, to enjoy a margarita and a meal. Service was quick but then drinks alone were $10. ea, small & watered down...food was average. Salads were strangely very watery. I was so embarrased. Asked the waiter and he insisted that "things have just changed alot here".
Pros: service is quick
Cons: prices are shockingly high in the bar and on some food items, food is rushed and average

Not What it Seems

The service is slow and many times the order is incorrect. Owner seems ambivalent to criticisms and unwilling to admit shortcomings. Too many Mexican restaurants to put up with this one.

Best Mex in SB

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the San Bernardino area. Recommend the Margarittas and combo plates. Service, chips and salsa always excellent. Always busy but very short waits to be seated.
