MIKE P. you are a f-ing homo stop rating the bowling alleys of the world and get a real hobby.

??????????
By far the WORST bowling alley I have ever seen!!!!!
mike p.
I have been bowling avidly for 26 years. I am now a pro, and am constantly traveling to bowling alleys all over the country. I can 100% honestly say, I have never had such a horrible time bowling. I used to go there occasionally up until about ten years ago, and I stopped because I simply did not like the atmosphere, the place was filthy, and the employees were not polite. Last week, I went back for the first time in ten years, just to see if anything changed. Well, it got worse! The guy working the desk was an arrogant jerk who had a very rude demeanor. At one point, the pinsetter malfunctioned. I know that that happens frequently, but when I told him about it, he acted like I broke it deliberately. At the end of the night, no warning or anything, they just shut the lanes off and basically kicked everyone out, like we had f seconds to get our stuff and leave. As I was putting MY OWN PERSONAL equipment (balls, shoes, etc) into my bag, Mr Arrogant came up and started accusing me of stealing the house balls. When I showed him they were MINE, he said "fine whatever just get the F**k out of here, we closed!"
If you want to spend your hard earned money, spend it somewhere where you will be treated right, the place is kept clean, and where they actually care about the customers. I happen to know many other bowlers that refuse to go to Valencia Lanes. Personally, I hope they get shut down...."

I would like to preface the following letter by saying that I got a call back from the owner. In short he stated that he agreed with everything except for the part where I waited five months to write the letter and that my letter was like "blackmail" to get something in return. I stated to him that I was not personally asking for anything but that I was thinking about the horrible time my nephew and everyone had. A total of 35 people. I also stated that using the word black mail was very harsh and inappropriate. In business the customer is usually always right and it was clear that he did not want to do anything to rectify the situation except to pretend to agree with me BUT for that one sentence. He stated that if I had come to him immediately he would have refunded the total 300.00. I told him I would never know that to be the truth since it's easy to say whatever you want to say right now and are obviously finding loopholes to avoid having to do anything. I told him he was entitled to his opinion and that I would continue to be entitled to my opinion that Valencia Lanes is not the best place to go to celebrate a special occassion. Here is the letter:

Re: May 10, 2008 ?? Birthday Party for my nephew

Dear Bill Mossontte (owner of Valencia Lanes),

On May 10th, 2008 we attended Valencia Lanes to celebrate my nephew??s birthday. Our time was from 9pm to 12midnight. We approximately rented five lanes and consumed much alcohol and soda beverages. When we celebrate an occasion we like to go all out and thus like to be treated with respect and courteously since we are providing business for you. When we arrived, we were made to wait. We had already called in advance to say that we were coming. Also, we ordered pizzas and a cake and were told that we could not cut the enormous cake that we had bought. It??s interesting that your establishment thinks that pizza will make less of a mess then cake. Also interesting was finding a cake box in the trash which meant that someone else HAD been allowed to eat cake there. Furthermore, the manager at the time was soooo rude and lacking in personal skills. We had brought our own plates and napkins and utensils and had not been told about this cake policy. After we asked him to make an exception, even offering to pay him extra for allowing us to eat cake there, and stating that we would eat the cake around the table provided and clean up after ourselves, he still said no. It was clear that we were not irresponsible little teenagers but parents and responsible adults who would keep their word. After spending tons of money in your bar, he still said no. We were forced to sing Happy Birthday in the parking lot and the cake basically went to waste. Furthermore, at 12am, instead of giving us a five minute warning, he cut the lights abruptly and the games as well and basically with his rude manner rushed us out of the place. His demeanor was impatient and made us feel like we were bothering him for having to wait for us. At the point it was soooo apparent that we would not return to your establishment for business.
Since then, we have, through word of mouth, spread the news about your business. Perhaps it may not matter to you, but if any of what I have written does matter or makes you ponder the situation, it would be appreciated as the last thing I or any of the Valencia folk in my group want to do is create bad feelings in general for our community. As a business owner I would hope that you would offer, not me, but my nephew and his friends, some type of discount or incentive for returning to your business. This would create harmony and allow our consciousness to begin saying nice things about your business again. It??s up to you.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. It has taken me several months to respond as I am a Screen Actor??s Guild Actress and have been away on projects and did not have time to write this letter until now.
Sincerely,
Ms.Garcia

Pros: parking

Cons: customer service

Went here for our 6th grade field trip and had so much fun!!
The music and lights were awesome. I would highly recommend coming here for a party or group function.

This really isn't a bad bowling alley. It is the only gig in town and the kids do have fun with the birthday parties and neon bowling. And, I'm talking about the teens.

We brought our kids to bowl here and the bowling alley seemed pretty run down and not as clean as it should. The staff was accomdating and our kids had fun, but I think our overall experience was just about average.

I played on a bowling league here and had so much fun, but watch out on fridays and saturdays, you find a younger crowd with an attitude problem, but all in all it is a fun place to come.

If you simply like to bowl then you'll enjoy Valencia Lanes. You can probably find better equipped lanes but the location is convenient and the atmosphere is fun. The place is great to bring the kids and not worry about all the gutter balls. Have fun!
