We bring my 2-year-old to this restaurant, and she loves it! They have "kids meals" that do not look like a child's meal at all, which she loves because she likes to think she's eating the same food as mommy. Be careful on the level of spice -- at other restaurants, we'd get a 5/10, and here we get a 3/10. They are a little heavy-handed with the spice. It might not be completely authentic Thai food, but it's good for the price.
We love Thai food and usually order it to-go from here. We love the chicken red curry (medium - which is pretty spicy for us) and our kids love the fried rice. They have a lot of other great dishes but this is what we order every single time. I also love their thai iced tea with boba! Yum! They're pretty fast at putting our order together when we phone it in too. You can usually find a coupon in one of the magazines you get in the mail but the only bad thing is that it is for dine-in only.
We live in 4S and have been eating at this restaurant for over 5 years, The service is impeccible, the food is delicious, the price is defintly reasonable...We have never been there and not gotten our order in under ten minutes whether it be lunch or dinner..Its a small business that does pay attention to detail. We highly recommend this place and after longevity of going here, I think we have an opinnion that should be trusted..Its a diamond in the rough
Pros: Fabulous Service, Great Environment, Delicious Food
I used to recommend Thaigo to friends, family and co-workers but not after tonight. I got to see its true color. I ordered the papaya salad as I usually do and asked for it to be MEDIUM spicy. It came out and when I took a bite my mouth was set on fire and I?m sure eventually my a** is going to feel it too! Figuring that the chef had never made it that hot before, maybe there had been a mistake. With my eyes bulging from its sockets and tearing up like Niagra, I asked the waitress if that salad had been prepared as Medium spicy and explained that it was way hotter than the usual.
She said yes and did not at all offer to take the plate back as I continued to wipe my eyes. With an obvious disconnect on proper courtesy I had asked if she could take it back and bring one that was milder. She said NO. She went back and explained the situation to the cook and from the kitchen I could hear the cook screaming at her, "IT"S MEDIUM, I MAKE MEDIUM, " followed by something in a foreign dialect. For a few minutes I could hear the chef yelling in the kitchen about her cooking.
Avoiding a scene I found the general manager and pulled him aside so that no one could here my complaints:
1) The service was horrible - the waitress untimely
2) The refusal to take the salad back was uncustomary and uncouth
3) The cook was loud, rude and obviously lacking in customer service
He simply nodded his head and said, "that's too bad," and began to straighten out menus. With a burned tongue, a bad case of indigestion, a horrible taste in my mouth and the fear of ripping my butthole on my next visit to the WR, I close this review. Thai food lovers, BEWARE OF THAIGO!
