This is really the best golf facility in the area, from San Francisco to Monterey, not counting the Pebble Beach courses. The designer is John Harbottle, hands down the best designer working today. Cinnabar has got great topography, great design, great maintenance and great feel. The greens are absolutely immaculate, fast, true and a ton o fun to putt on. The price is right on, not cheap-o, but not over the top and worth every penny. A little out of the way to get to, but worth the drive. If you appreciate great golf course designs you will love it.

The best San Jose has to offer

This course is known for it's three nine hole courses and lots of elevation changes. It has a large grass driving range so practice during your lunch break is possible if your business or meeting is in area. However, because of it relatively remote location little lunch time practice takes place here. If you're a long hitter you'll like this course. It's greens are large and fair. It gets lots of play but conditioning and maintenance is good. You'll want to take a cart unless you're use to walking a long, hilly course and there's a bit of a distance from greens to the next tee box. After playing here your next must play course is Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz. The hour drive across HWY 17 to enjoy one of the Top 100 Course in the country, Pasatiempo, is truly a must. It's semi-private so go to their website for reservations and directions. world wide web dot pasatiempo dot com. Pasatiempo is a bargain at $200 when compared to Pebble and Spyglass which it rivals.

Course has everything you expect from an $85 round. GPS carts well manicured fairways and really fast greens. There are 3 nines and you don't get your choice of the 18 you play. Course is in the hills and you can tell that a few of the holes were just played out where they just ran out of land or something. I like the course overall and think it is a good choice for golfers with some skill. Not a course for beginners. Nice club house with good pub fare.
PROS: Beautiful views
CONS: Poor drainage resulting in muddy fairways in the winter months

This is a beautiful place that has a room well equped to host a wedding venue. My husband's wedding had her formal engagement party here a few months ago. The room has niuce large windows in the front that are overlooking the golf course. The food was amazing and she chose to have an open bar all night. The prices were much better than hotel venues. The only thing that I did not like about the banquet room was that it had huge pillars that blpcked the front of teh room depending on the angle of you table. Otherwise, it was very nice. Great quality food and drinks that rum you about 62 bucks (plus tax) for full sit down dinner, cold appetizers, and open ball all night.

I, myself, do not golf, but my friends do, so we always go there to hang out and I watch my friends play golf. From my opinion, it seems absolutely big. My friend says that it is a course of 3 - 9 holes (I do not know what that means) The prices are regular and they don't get any discounts. Food is good, and so are the drinks, because they are not as expensive as getting in and using their carts to play.

This public course is tucked away in the hills in a quiet, beautiful setting. There are 3 separate 9 hole courses. There are discount fees for playing early. I HATE golf, but my golfing friends love this place. I drive out to have lunch once in a while, it is a nice drive out and nice views when you are there. It is a very nicely kept facility on all counts. They have tournaments and weddings also. Food, beverage and ambiance excellent.
PROS: Beautiful, secluded, nice ambiance
CONS: A bit of a drive
