HORRIBLE!!!! I took my dog here after she got into a dog fight. They said she needed her wonds clean and stich. they told us it would be 800.00. When we picked her up early am omg, she was butcher!!!! She was worst looking then when she went in. She was still covered in blood. They had no feeling towards us or our dog. Dr Canneralla did the surgery. They are a rip off!!!! DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!!!!

I recently had to find an emergency vet for my sickly Dachshund....I was very disheartened when the dr himself was very unkind and definately seemed as if it was all about the money. I understand that there is a cost for everything that is not a problem, but when a dr sends in a nursed to tell you that it is going to cost $500 just for xrays, bloodwork and the office visit and when you explain that is to much what are our options "you can always put him down when you feel he is suffering" was his response mind you this did not even include treatment at all.

Thankfully there was the most amazing assistant Beth that gave me some great home remedies that worked amazing and my puppy recovered in just a couple of days. I called to thank Beth for the great customer service and help and she in turn also followed up a couple days later as well. Not all was bad just the Dr in general was not so nice.

The veterinarian that saw my dog was extremely rude and unprofessional. He was out to blame me for my dog's illness rather than treat her. They ran tests and then came back and said they have no idea what is wrong with her. We are back home with no diagnosis so I will spend more $ in the morning to take her to a decent vet and have her checked out. If you have a choice of where you go for after hours care, I'd recommend avoiding this vet if at all possible!

Like they say consider the source of these reviews! The Animal Emergency Clinic is a very caring clinic, It's professional! A+ All the employees care about the animals & their job. They saved my dog's life. The hospital is clean. You know like anything it's when you can't afford something that you have bad things to say. I do agree when Dr. Cannarelia is there things are higher priced.

Last night I took my dog to the animal hos on main and cottonwood because she suddenly started bleeding excessively from her rectum. I was charged $200.00 and they never once even touched my dog not even to take vitals. They told me to collect a urine sample and bring back tomorrow. and gave antibiotics to start thee following day and not to give any food or water until next day. I went home fond another 24 hour er to take my dog. I was there all night they did blood labs, gases, vitals , liver , kidney, bladder, tests. diagnossed her and began treatments. They were very efficient, caring, professional, and curtious. they also were very reasonable as far as costs. for emergency visit after mdnight and all the lab and tests they did as well as treatment they also sent me home with medicine and special diet dog food and the total bill was $395.00 very reasonable! I was very pleased. They also refered me to a new vet. because I will NOT go back to main and cottonwood. except to get my $200.00 refund.

having been an employee at a number of clinics here in the high desert, I must say, that like any other place of business, the e-clinic is a place of business. Every employee there wants a paycheck at the end of the week, they don't want to hear fromn the owner that since a lot of clients had no money to treat their beloved pets, the employees can't get paid.
So, to every one that says they recieved poor service there, they most likely got what they paid for....an exam and an estimate for the cost of treatment...Since 75% of people here in the desert, are desert rats, have more pets than they can properly care for, it is the fault of the vets for wanting to be paid for their services that their pets die....
and by the way, there is no surgery to treat pancreatititis...

It is true that first and foremost this clinic's concern is how your going to pay for the services and NOT for the animal!
Second your exp will be determined by which vet is on call, if the female dr is on call RUN DO NOT WALK AND TAKE YOUR PET WITH YOU TO GRAND TERRACE OR TO THE CLINIC ON MAIN AND 11TH,
We have had both good and bad experiences at this clinic and it is the vets that make that determination, all male vets have provided a pleasant and favorable exp but the female is the worst exp of our life and one we do not wish on any person or animal.

Our 5-year-old Lab mix had what seemed to be drastic allergic reactions to *something* -- twice in a month, his throat became extremely swollen. Our regular vet treated it with steroids the first time; the second time, it was a weekend and the vet was closed. By Sunday night, his mouth was bleeding and I took him to the only 24-hour clinic in the Victor Valley.

I explained his recent medical history. The vet examined my dog and came up with a completely different diagnosis, which turned out to be 100% correct. It wasn't an allergic reaction to a bug or scorpion or something; it was an infected, closed-up salivary gland. Mystery solved and now we can have a specialist remove or repair the gland.

I have taken two of my pets to this clinic, and both of them passed away after. The employees seem very caring, but in truth they are very unorganized. They lost my dog's x-rays, which caused a hold up on her treatment. She died the next day of pancreatitis, but I was told but the vet who was going to do her surgery that if we they had been able to operate on her just a couple of hours sooner, she might have made it. The Animal Emergency Clinic's disorganization may have cost my dog her shot at surviving.

I just went to add a review of this clinic and was surprised at the two prior reviews posted. I have been to the clinic a few times over the years and have always received courteous, competent, and professional care. It is my last visit to the clinic that has especially prompted me to send in this review. In the wee hours of the morning, coming home from work, I pulled into my yard and accidentally ran over my 11 year-old black lab. My heart was both racing and breaking as I lifted her injured body into my car and raced to the clinic. I?m sure I was quite stressed as I arrived at the clinic, but the staff took her right back for the doctor to evaluate. It was obvious that their immediate concern was for the comfort and care of my dog. The doctor was very sympathetic and soothing. She reviewed the tests and X-Rays with me and explained the pros and cons of each option. Given my dog?s age and her serious internal injuries, I decided to have her put to sleep. This dog was an important part of our family and this was an extremely painful decision. The doctor and staff at the clinic were very compassionate and comforting. They are the best.

PROS: They're caring, competent, and OPEN
CONS: None

I took my pet here twice and both times the doctors were very inhumane and rude. I had my last experience there last night. My animal was ill and the vet very coldly told me that it was not hopeless and told my friend the animal would make it through the night. I called at 1 am to check on my pets status and they told me she was improving. At 6 am the vet calls to tell me she had passed away a little bit ago. Upon further investigation, I found out that my pet passed shortly after I called to check on her. Their professionalism is non-exixtent. So PLEASE go else where if you want a caring and nurturing environment.
