El Buen Gusto #2

by Sandra B. | insider Insider | Rank: 20,720

I particularly like this El Buen Gusto restaurant because it is as crowded as the one in Glendale. The service is good and I especially like their soups. The soups have that good homemade taste to them. The prices are very resonable and I would recommend this place to my friends.

Not as crowded as the other chains

by X L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,536

I like the El Buen Gusto restaurant chains, but they're usually crowded. This one on Fletcher Dr isn't as packed as the others around the area...The food is delicious here; I really like the pescado ranchero and of course the pupusas. The semitas (salvadorean sweet bread) and quesadillas (salvadorean quesadillas are not the same as mexican, they are a sweet bread and are eaten as a dessert, if you will, or for breakfast with some coffee) are top notch.

Authentic Salvadorian Food

by Julia Z. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,365

The buen gusto 2 has moved to Fletcher Dr & Casitas. It is only one block from the address listed above. The new location is much nicer but the food and service remains the same-great! I highly recommend the sopa de pata (salvadorean menudo), the yucca con chicarron (yucca with fried meat), and the pupusas (specially the cheese w/ loroco). Nothing on the menu is over $13. My husband & I usually spend $15 for 2 complete meals (including a non-alcoholic beverage).

PROS: Good food, inexpensive, and great service
CONS: In a not so great part of town
