I always come here for reunions and big get togethers. their plates come in big portions and the baby back ribs are delicious! the fries are yummy and the strawberry lemonade is awesome. it's great ordering drinks here because they come in a humongous jar and they're free refills! go here for the best ribs in torrance!

I recommend this restaurant to all my guests that come to our home. That always gives us a good excuse, like we need one, to go to Lucilles. Never had a bad meal or bad service. This is my husband's favorite restaurant and he is picky.

I enjoyed the combo platter we ordered. The dessert is good as well (peach cobbler anyone) and the honey butter is fabulous (served with corn bread muffins) I like the food I just feel it's a bit pricey, more coupons please :-)

Lucilles has really great, lean baby back ribs. They have good hot links too. The baked beans are very authentic. It's a very Southern BBQ style place. The prices are on the high side. It's in a terrible location on the corner of the mall. Terrible parking!

When you want ribs, go to Lucilles. They really have great BBQ food, but the baby back ribs are the best. It's a really neat comfortable and Southern atmosphere. They have a separate bar if you want to just get a drink and appetizer. The parking can be rough, as they are attached to the Del Amo Mall.

Great word of mouth led me to Lucille's. Several people consider it far and away the superior rib option in Southern California. I don't consider it nearly that impressive. The ribs were slightly dry, and the sauce was nothing that special. It was also extremely busy when we went, and we had a significant wait.

Lucille's offers the best comfort food. Often times my friends and I find ourselves at Lucille's on Sunday afternoons after church service.
My friends love the BBQ and the Tri-tip. I find that the Veggie/Garden Burger is jusy sinful delicious.
The greens and corn on the cob is just mouth watering.
They have the best biscuits and apple butter.
They end the meal with a jar full of toostie roll lollipops, the bill and a survey. Apparently the owner personally reads each survey. I'm not so sure becasue I offered to sell him a mac 'n cheese receipe but to no avail.
PROS: Best veggie/garden burger
CONS: Terrible Mac 'N Cheese

Very clean, friendly and quick service. No long wait for food. Great variety of BBQ to choose from. The Baby Back Ribs are delecious and fresh. There is a bar area if you want to enjoy a drink and or eat. Decorated with Southern/Jazzy feel. One of my FAVORITE restaurants!
Cons: Parking
I've been to this Lucille's location a couple of times. Both times, very impressed with the barbecue offerings. My daughter loved the grilled cheese (they have a limited kids menu) and we shared a yummy cobbler. I would say we waited quite a while for our food but it was super crowded. Generally crowded place, but they handle the demand well.
Pros: tri tips, beef brisket
Cons: wait time
The food here is really good but if you don't like huge portions maybe don't go here. The have a great diverse menu and I haven't tried anything on the menu I didn't like. The place does get pretty crowded for dinner so call ahead or plan on enjoying a drink in the bar. Its a great scene and very lively. Some even have live music on the weekends.
Pros: Great barbecue beef
Cons: A little pricey and can be a long wait
Food nothing to write home about, I had better barbecue. The biscuits were good though. I will eat here again still if I go to a party or a friend wants to eat there.
Excellent Southern style BBQ and smoked meats that taste just like Aunt Bebe's home-style cooking. The cornbread will break your carb-free diet every single time! So delicious and yummy like no other BBQ place here in Socal. You have to try Lucille's Smokehouse! You'll find happy people, friendly service and mouth watering BBQ delights!
Pros: If you love BBQ'd smoked meats - this is the place to eat
Cons: Why can't we eat at Lucille's every day?
We were originally quoted a 2.5 hour wait for a table of 10 tonight, but luckily people flaked and we had an hour wait for a table of 6. Unfortunately Lucille's no longer takes reservations so be prepared for a wait unless you get there early as in "just opened for dinner 5 mins. ago early". Very packed with many large groups of 20+ and being part of a large mall, Del Amo, there were quite a few kids as well. Drinks at the bar were nice and strong, interesting chioce of using jars as cups. We started with onion strings and stuffed jalapenos which were tasty and not too greasy. Everyone at the table had something different and no one had any complaints of the food. Spareribs and baby backs were tender and meaty. Beef ribs a little tough close to the bone but were juicy and had a lot of meat. Tri-tip was tender enough to rip apart with fingers and the 1/2 chicken was juicy and plump even the breast part. And they serve massive amounts of food for decent prices, about $25 for the BBQ combo entrees. No room for dessert so no comment on that. Great place except for the immense crowds and long wait. Service was so so, sometimes waitress would be around quickly but then would disappear for 15 min. stretches and it took about 20 mins to get coffee at the end. I would definitely recommend this place.
Pros: Very good BBQ, good prices for the massive amounts of food, nice ambiance
Cons: Very crowded, long waits, spotty service
First off, I'm originally from St. Louis so I am very particular about BBQ. When this place first opened, I thought, "Finally a place who knows BBQ!!" However, the last few months the food and service has progressively gotten so bad I don't go anymore. Shame, it had a good thing going but somewhere on the way it jumped the track and totally derailed.
I'd prefer this place over Claim Jumpers any day! The atmosphere is a lot livelier and the servers are very friendly. They have the best apple butter and biscuits, and their drinks are served in HUGE jars that you probably won't need to refill. The pork ribs are delish, and I especially like their tri-tip salad (when you're in the mood for something lighter). This place is always packed on the weekends, so defintely make a reservation.
Pros: great food, great service
Cons: crowded
This is the place for BBQ. The portions are gigantic and everything is delicious. Everything, even the salads. The place is always packed so expect to wait at least 20 mins to be seated but its definately worth the wait. If you leave room for dessert, try the apple pie. I've never had a more heavenly piece of pie, its addicting.
I've loved Lucilles for years. I've even gotten my brother so into Lucilles that he's overdosed on it. The food is soooooooooo good. Huge portions!!! I love the biscuits and the apple butter!
Pros: Great food, great service
Cons: Expensive
this place has great food! everything i got was great, from the chicken to the sweet pototo side dish. they also have wonderful service! food didn't take too long to get to our table and it was great! i would go back to place again!
Pros: food, drinks, service
Cons: none
I AM THE BBQ KING IN MY TOWN AND I DON'T GO OUT TO BUY IT FOR DINNER VERY OFTEN. THAT BEING SAID THIS PLACE IS VERY GOOD, AND I DON'T HAVE TO SPEND ALL DAY AT MY SMOKER. THIS PLACE IS NOT CHEAP BUT GOOD BBQ NEVER IS NEVER. COME HUNGRY YOU GET ALOT OF GREAT FOOD. SERVICE HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREAT.
Pros: GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT BAR
Cons: LONG WAIT, NOT CHEAP
Went here for the first time with friends - we enjoyed a number of combo plates and shared so everyone could sample a bit of everything. Waitresses were great, very understanding and made no fuss of our "BBQ Sampling" practice. Live entertainment very decent too [Brea location, near the 57 fwy]. Overall good time had by all - not cheap but we'll return
Pros: Food, Service, Entertainment
Cons: Crowd [wait], Pricey
The food is finger licking GOOD!!! Plus the bar has a great drink menu. It does get crowded on the weekends but you might get lucky and find a table in the bar area.
Pros: Ave price, Bar
Cons: Crowed
I love this place. They have great BBQ. I get the st. louis style ribs. Sooooo yummy. They bring you alot of food. It can get pricey but worth it. Don't go for lunch becuase the prices are the same. $13 for a salad. I think that's waaaay too much. But great for dinner when your in the mood for ribs.
Pros: BBQ
Cons: pricey
Not sure if they were just having a bad day, but the night we went, the servers had major attitude. It made us look skeptically at the menu and the food. But overall, we were pleased. The menu needs some work, though, as I didn't feel it had much variety. Portions are huge, so definitely come with an appetite or friend to share your meal.
Pros: location, side orders
Cons: service, too crowded
I used to frequent the place when it was Hof's Hut. It was one of the best upscale family restaurants in the area. The change to Lucille's is a real disappointment. After 2 visits, no more. Over priced, tough, chewy ribs, boring sauce, really a bad place for bbq. To be fair it did have a good design and vibe to it but the food was chain style, institutional bbq.
Cons: high prices, bad ribs, sauce
I thought this place was all hype and no substance. Service and atmosphere were both fine but the barbeque left a lot to be desired. Over charged baby back ribs and a tepid hot link were both left on our plates when the server picked up our plates. We won't be back.
Pros: atmosphere
Cons: food in general
This restaurant has the finest quality meat, best service that you could find anywhere. A great place for a date, family or friends.
