Aaardvaark's Odd Ark
by Robert K.
Aaardvark's( spelled with 3 AAAs) has moved from it's oringinal location on Melrose Ave to 7566 Melrose ave. It's no longer the corner store on Melrose/ Curson to my surprise. Now it's on the south side of the street on melrose and Curson where Drake's used to be. They still carry one of a kind clothing from original 1920's-30's through the 1980's to contemporary clothing. I love this store because you can find something funky that's one of a kind. The new location is smaller, but cozy. The staff is friendly and helpful to help you find what you need. It makes for a great come back!

Aardvark's is hit or miss. You can get some unusual stuff, but a lot of the items are overpriced. A good place to go to find stuff for a costume or even for tuxedo shirts if you're a waiter.

Oh my gosh, you have to go to Aardvarks. There are more locations then the one on Melrose in West Hollywood. I have been going there for almost 35 years. They have the greatest vintage clothing at reasonable prices. You can get perfectly good DickeePants there for $10.00. Their jeans are priced really good. They even make up some of their own clothes that are totally awesome. I got my daughter a floor length black cape, fully lined, made by them for $40.00. Go there, it is worth the trip..

This is a very cool, trendy vintage shop. I love to spend hours going through the piles of jeans- they've got so many decades worth of pants here that you can find nearly all styles, colors and sizes. Most of the shirt are a bit silly but you can grabsome cool hats and ties. The employees are really laid-back and don't care if you spend all day browsing. Some things are priced higher than you would expect, but mose items are very affordable.

I used to go to this store alot! (mostly because at the time it was the only "game" in town) now that other vintage shops have opened up, I still like this place but find it a bit too pricey. so if your on melrose with some money to burn here's the store for you.
