5 Stars: Great bakery! Great service (by alan g.)

This bakery is great! I needed a Challah one Friday evening and was running late. I called the bakery and asked when they closed and was told in 5 min. They inquired what I needed and I said a Challah. After I told them that I was 20min away they said they would stay open until I arrived. This does not happen in LA but it did at this bakery. By the way, I was an infrequent before this incident and now I'm a regular. The challah is great as well as their other breads and pastries.

5 Stars: Heaven (by anonymous a.)

Chris M. just to let you know, that bakery was owned by my grandfather, at the time of your post, he was still alive. My grandfather does have a parter, but my grandfather would NEVER do what you said happened, NEVER. He was the sweetest person ever and always wanted to do good for the world and his customers. If he could he would make the whole store free. He always was so generous. It might of been his partner who did that to you, I am not a fan of the partner. I'm sorry that happened to you but the bakery is a fine place watched over from my grandfather, Paul Sherman from Heaven. Please try the place again, you won't be sorry.

5 Stars: The BEST (by Karen M.)

This is the best bakery in LA County, hands down! If you want a Challeh that tastes like heaven, not sawdust and air, this is the place. Their cookies are great and the man and woman who run it are wonderful and very customer service sensitive. I bought cookies over the internet, as I do not live within a short drive. The cookies took a day to get to me at a warm time of the year. Unfortunetely, they arrived a bit mushed. I contacted them to tell them, but had eaten all of them anyway....they just looked a little mushed, but tasted wonderful. I did NOT ask for my money back, just made a suggestion about they might ship these the next time I ordered them. They were very gracious in their response. A few days later, I received a surprise in the mail....they sent me more cookies for free. You will not go wrong purchasing from them, either at the bakery or online.

1 Stars: Assaulted by owner (by chris m.)

First let me say that I am from out of town.

At 2 pm on a saturday, it was closed. I got out of my car to check the hours and the door mysteriously openend and the man told me to come in. He had no foccacio, or ciabatta. Almost all the breads I asked of him he said he needs a few days notice of. Then I decided to get a baguette instead. He told me to take it for free. I took it and then insisted on paying him. He claimed it was an insult, slapped me in the face, pushed me almost to the ground and then forcefully pushed me outside his door, after snatching the bread from my hands. I did not want this to end that way so I placed my foot in the door and asked for an explanation. However, he would supply none of that and continued throwing insults at me. I urge everyone to not to business with this man or his establishment.
