4 Stars: It is a nice place... (by Joni H.)

It's cozy and nice inside. The drinks are usually good also. I wish the food choices were a little bigger though. I could go more for lunch ! If you want a coffee &and quiet, this is a good place to start your day!

PROS: the drinks
CONS: the food choices.

4 Stars: Great Place to schmooze and listen (by Judy R.)

My passion is music and this is a place I go to find the cream of the crop in Morongo Basin. There are so many musicians, songwriters, poets and collective talent, it's overwhelming and very warming to the soul. Some are even replacing old die hards in my heart for carrying their music with me in my soul. I sometimes feel they hit my emotional nail on the head and know exactly the words to help me heal everything wrong inside me.

Food is healthy, sassparilla is standard; help is wonderful and also talented in their own rights. Cyber networking is available, but I haven't availed myself yet.

The ages are varied as the talent base, but tends to keep to the quiet sides of folk, rock, blues and jazz. The only dullness in the place is during the day, when entertainment isn't always present. Could be a sign for change.....maybe it's better that way. It would be comfortable to be able to sit and play or sit and listen to someone quietly with an acoustical instrument and pleasant voice instead of MUSAC; but it's an opinion only and reflects the need for live music in my personal life. One of my favorite places in the world to hang out. Soothing, comfortable, warm.

PROS: Great live nightly entertainment with variation enough for everybody.
CONS: Not all the people are accepting of their audiences enthusiasm.

4 Stars: Excellent atmosphere. (by Carrie S.)

Ever since this shop has opened, it has been one of my favorite places to have lunch. The staff are clean and personable, the clientele are always interesting, and the atmosphere is wonderful. From the beautifully painted ceiling and walls, the sweeping steps up to the balcony full of board games and books, the overstuffed couches and chairs lining the ground floow, and the original artwork adorning the walls, every corner of Water Canyon is beautifully designed.

PROS: Atmosphere, great drinks, good food, friendly staff.
CONS: Expensive, small food selection.

4 Stars: (by Alexandra H.)

I really enjoy studying and hanging out in this funky coffee house in little Yucca Valley. The coffee isn't always perfect, and sometimes the employees show up later than the official opening time, but its still the best coffee place in town. I would caution you against the strongest blend of drip coffee- it is bitter and almost burnt. Better off to go with a latte or blended drink (they use liquids instead of powders which is a big plus). They have a nice menu with soups, sandwiches and salad. The desserts look awesome, though I have not yet splurged. I have tried the bagel with homemade hummus and it rocks! They offer free wireless internet, and I love to go to thei little upstairs loft which feels private and relaxing. You definitely can chill out here for hours- check out their library! Really nice people work here, and you will enjoy yourself.
