This place has some pretty decent mexican food but the bar scene is definitely worth it. Great bartenders who make you feel right at home and always show you a really fun time. Great on the weekends, especially Friday after about 7pm when everyone comes to wind down from the weekend to have a drink. Gets kind of slow during the week, but it's still a nice place to go relax and have a good drink.
Located right by the Venice Canals, so it's a great place to get a drink and walk around for the amazing scenery.
Typical mexican joint with mexican food. The outside patio is nice and they usually have the tv on for whatever game might be playing at the time. The food is very good and definitely much better than Cabo Cantina which just opened down the street. Atleast Baja can keep their dishes and glasses clean.
the Cantina back in the day was a place where everyone in LA would gather to have fun and do business..... but with the change of management, and "Hollywood wannabe's? running the door, has left this place as being a place where only wash ups and posers will gather.... the food has never been great, but the employees and crowd has worsen over time.
I have been to Baja Cantina several times. They are located right in the neighborhood so when the craving for Mexican comes they are a close pick.
If your looking for margaritas this place has them. As far as service goes they are lacking bigtime in the food department.
Great for sports events.
PROS: Good for sports, drinking, people watching
CONS: Way overpriced, so so food, poor table service
