Reviews for Home Depot

Ratings_icons Home Depot is terrible

saul C.

Don't think of asking for help here, if you can find someone. They don't know where things are and they have no clue on how to do home projects. They recommended cement for a tiling project, the wrong grout, etc.
There appears to be one person for every 6 aisles - and these are bit aisles.
Very few cashiers, ever. I am currently holding on the phone with them now for 15 minutes on a call to their pro shop. I am hanging up and will take my order to Lowes or Rafael lumber.
You may save some money here but know what you want and how to do it.

Pros lumber is cheaper
Cons selection and service

Ratings_icons terrible customer service

The manager of this store needs to have some serious re-training sessions here. My wife walked up to 2 employees to ask for help. These guys looked at her, then just TURNED AWAY and started talking to each other!!! HOW RUDE! Another clerk didn't know where something was, and vaguely pointed her towards a certain section...which ended up being non-existent. Then, at the "self check-out", the machine wouldn't read an item, so it directed her to ask for assistance. She turned to the gal at the counter nearby, and asked her for help. The clerk just stared blankly at her, then turned away without responding. No smile, no nod, no words, NOTHING! What kind of people is this store hiring? Perhaps they were angry at having to work the day after Thanksgiving? Stoned?Hungover?
I should also mention that they keep putting stuff in the aisles that makes it difficult to get past. There are other hardware stores out there, and we'll be spending more time, and money, at them.

PROS: cheap & plentiful products
CONS: worst customer service around

the store is short on staff and push carts are hard to find. inventory is always lacking. the return policy is great. the aisles are tight, but they have a self check out, which is great.

PROS: only place around
CONS: carts and staff

Ratings_icons I could spend hours here!

Home depot is like an adult toy store. They have so many things to browse and drool over--new doors, tile, even appliances. I like their garden center. It's huge and they have such a great selection. They have a good selection of lumber too. I always get our paint here because the prices are so good. The prices are good for everything.

Ratings_icons Great place to go if you know what you are looking for!

This is a great place if you know exactly what you are looking for. If you need help in selecting an item or even if you know what you want and can't find it then it can be frustrating finding someone to help you or who even knows where things are!!! The prices are good which is why we keep coming back, but if price wasn't an issue then we'd probably go somewhere else.
