Pros: Best Service, and Best pizza

Pizza the way it should be done...Fresh and lots of toppings. The salads are overflowing...as is the vino and beer.

I truly enjoy eating at Johnnie??s. Though they specialize in NY Pizza, I always get the same thing, the BBQ Chicken Salad. I have NEVER had a BBQ salad like this anywhere else. It is not like CPK where the dressing is ranch based, rather the dressing is more like a BBQ vinaigrette. If you are on a carb-free diet I don??t recommend eating here as the garlic rolls are literally to die for. The restaurant has plenty of seating including an upstairs deck and outdoor patio that is literally on the 3rd Street Promenade. I??m not sure if this still applies but I used to get delivery here which was always reasonably fast. Prices here are affordable and I have always been satisfied with the food, the atmosphere and the service. As far as parking, I have always walked here so I don??t know what the parking situation is but it is on the first block of the promenade on the side of the former mall, which no longer has a parking structure so I imagine that street parking on a nearby street is the best option.

If you're looking for NY style pizza Johnnies is far from it. I'm not sure what to make of their pizza. It's just decent pizza but it's not New York. If you want good NY style pizza and happen to find yourself in the valley around the Toluca Lake area, go up to Robano's and you'll get an authentic New York slice. Also, I found it extremely annoying that the waitress decided to add to the tip. Didn't discover it until I was reconciling my receipts with my statement. Johnnies, your food is okay but I'll look for somewhere else to eat while I'm on the Promenade.

As much as I love the idea of great NY Pizza, this place definitely lost our Business. I run the event department at a large investment firm. We had them cater a business lunch for a large group. They arrived 54 minutes late, forgot to deliver half of the food, and when I spoke with the manager never recieved an apology, explanation or discount. Despite having a good location in the heart of LA's rich and famous, you're better off ordering with Dominos if you're looking for good service.

My Family and I decided to eat here that day. The garlic rolls were pretty thick, but they were good. My daughter,
my husband & I had the pizza. I wonder if the staff who made the pizza is really from New York? Decent pizza.
They could of put more toppings on it for the price we were paying. We got more toppings on the pizza @ the
pizza cookery than we did here. My Son had the shrimp alfredo. I tried it & it was good. It was a good size por-
tion dish. Not to big, not to small but just right. They were also prompt on serving the drinks. I guess we would
eat here again.

This place is amazing and I have yet to be disappointed. The restaurant is a cute Italian setting. Don't sit outside, stay inside because it's much nicer. The outside patio is small and a little awkward. The restaurant looks small from the outside, but it's actually two stories inside. Everything they serve is in pretty big portions, so you're easily full from any of their entrees.

On Mondays and Tuesdays they have a Dinner for 2 special. You get a big dish of spaghetti, a pizza, and a pitcher of beer or soda for $17.95. It's incredibly filling and of course, delicious!

I ordered from Johnnie's for our staff meeting, and was thrilled at how great the pizza, salad and delivery service were. Being from NY, I didn't expect much, but Johnnie's delivered on everything from the quality to the taste to the price. All of the executives commented on how good it was - they all wanted to know where I ordered it from. I will continue to order from here for meetings, lunches and after hours work.

The pizza was soggy, the fish was overcooked and the service was slow. The trifecta of a horrible dinner, this restaurant is a triple threat. I can't express how bad this place is.

They have a dine-in lunch special, 2 slices and a soda for just under $5. It's a great deal, especially since you get garlic rolls while you wait. But the service here is a disaster. I've been 4 times, weeks apart, and always the same. A new host/hostess who seems to be in another world; sit down and it's 15 minutes before a waiter appears; another 15 minutes for 2 slices of pizza. Hope you have a flexible schedule, you won't be out of here in less than an hour. For two pizza slices??? Absurd.

My friends and I ate at this wonderful place about two months ago and we are counting down the days until we can go again!! The fish was delicious, the calzone was not only huge, but was delicious as well. The Pasta is the best we have ever had.

Greatest pizza ever! Better than any pizza Ive had in NY. How can this place not be voted one of the top pizza places in LA, if not THE top? Crust is perfect, not too thin, not too thick. Toppings are fresh as can be. And the marinara is so tasty I can eat it alone. Try the meatball, amazing!
