I try to arrive early on Saturdays to avoid the wait. One time I went, however, and there was no one at the desk to answer the phone. This meant the stylist was frequently interrupted to answer calls and give information. The next time

So a friend and I went to the Super Cuts in Sand City to get a haircut. They weren't rude, the older male Asian barber seemed to do very well with the children, as well as the older female Asian barber ( I don't know their names). I recieved a haircut by a younger, long haired, Asian barber, I failed to get her name. I asked for a Low Fade, she began to ask me guard sizes such as,"" do you want a 1 on the side or a 3 on top"". I don't believe that the majority of their client tell walks in and can describe their haircut with number guard sizes. So, I kept it simple for her i said I want a Low Fade, take it as low as you can without making me look like Michael Jordan, or too ""Military"". Instead what i got was a somewhat low haircut she could have went lower and it wasn't a fade. It was a lazy, half-assed, no effort, or pride taken into the work she done, I left out of that place so dissapointed, but did not want to cause a scene. i would not recommend anyone to get their haircut their, I wouldn't even bring my kids there, i'd rather drive to Del Monte Shopping center

SUPERCUTS is a great place to get ur hair dyed or cut they have such a friendly staff and they r very professional. i called their on april 23 2011 because i wanted to make an apointment because i let a good friend of mine dye my hair and end it up with uglyest hair color in the whole world. i was so embarresed when i would go to work i wanted to hide under a rock. so wen i kalled Super cutts "WENDY" the receptionest told me that she can put me down for an appiontment she was so Professional and so kind she recommeded me with this young lady SHEILA. i camed in dat same day and SHEILA DIDNT MADE ME wait AT ALL she was so Professional she knew wat i wanted. she dyed my hair blackesh redish color with a caramel highlight in the bottom of my hair because i didnt wanted something so dramatic. SHE DID AN EXELENT JOB! I WILL ALWAYS GO BACK TO SUPER CUTS AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH HER. I WAS VERY SATISFIED.

I have had my hair cut at many salons across the states. I have paid exorbitant amounts to have my hair cut and styled. I live in Pebble Beach and I was desperate for a cut-the "chic" hair stylist was unavailable. More than half reluctantly, I looked up Supercuts just hoping for a trim. I was fortunate enough to get Hannah when I arrived. I have received the best haircut from her. So much so, that without fail, people ask me where I got my hair cut. I am delighted to tell my friends that I got it at Supercuts..after their jaws drop I tell them... Hannah is fabulous. I would recommend her to all my friends.

Unfortunately, I read the reviews but DID not get a good haircut. Despite specifically stating what I wanted, and not want, including showing a picture to her, she did not get one thing right. My layered hair (which I wanted shortened by layered) was cut into one length, much shorter than the one inch which I asked for, my fringe was totally destroyed leaving me short strands that hangs on my forehead (I exercise and I told her I wear a pony tail on most days so I need to have fringe long enough to be pulled back, or at least pushed behind my ears). Well, they got hecked off. I was then told by her that I could use a 'clip' to hold it back. I hate my haircut, can't wait for it to grow back. I would not recommend anyone wanting anything more than a simple clip to use this place. Their skills are minimum and the amount of time they spend listening is zero. I think it is because they cannot communicate in english properly, words like 'keep the fringe', 'no more than one inch off the ends', and 'layered' appeared to fall in deaf ears . You can check out and decide for yourself. I think they do men and kids a lot better. Overall experience: 1/5, overall quality of cut/skills exhibited by staff: 0/5, value of money: 0/5. No matter how much they charge, they should at least have minimum skills to do a simple layered cut. If not, they can look at the picture and say they cannot do it. Honesty is best. Anyway, I felt seriously depressed for weeks.

Based on reviews I read, I went to Supercuts @ Sand City and asked for Suky. The outcome was a nightmare. I asked to have my layered long hair cut shorter by 2 inches and to leave the fringe long enough for me to tie into a ponytail so that I can exercise with my hair up. She took at least 5-6 inches off all round, destroyed all my layers by cutting everything one length, and cut my fringe in the front of my face so short that it keeps falling onto my face now and there is no way to tie it up or push it behind my ear. This is really terrible as I specifically indicated before she started what I wanted, and showed her a picture. She ignored the picture, proceeded to wet and cut my hair, and then when she discovered she had cut my fringe too short, she proceeded to give advice as follows "if too short, you use clip to clip up hair on head'. I was totally upset and was upset for days afterwards, and I am still upset. I just moved into this area and this has not helped made me adjust to my new move. Do not ask for this stylist as her command of English is minimal, and she is not interested in trying to communicate. I think their objective is to start snipping away and get it over with as soon as possible so that they can take in more customers. I am extremely disappointed with the overall standard of the place. Lower price does not have to mean bad quality. If she cannot do what I asked, she should have just said so and recommended another person who can manage the style I was after. Taking on something which was beyond her capability and skill was irresponsible. I wish businesses and its staff would take more responsibility to provide quality service and not just perform their job in a hapazard manner. Total experience was traumatic. My hair is not too short to be 'saved' by another visit to a hair salon. I will just have to wait for it to grow back and then try another place.
This experience leaves me upset, disappointed, and extremely stressed out. I still have not found a way to do my yoga without getting hair all over my face. Having a clip did not help as she cut it so short that nothing can hold it in place at the moment......sigh...If she could not do what I wanted, I wished she could have just confessed that she lacked the skills. I think she does mostly men hair cut and she does not have the ability to do ladies' hair to the standard that ladies seek. Maybe Supercuts should put up a notice of who can manage what kind of cuts. Appears to me when I was there that most of the customers were 1) men 2) kids

This SuperCuts location has three of the best stylists in Monterey County,if you're a man, your first choice should be Dong;if he's not available ask for Quong. If you just want a woman to cut your hair, ask for Hannah. Today,a woman named Suky cut my hair. Just remember,no matter which stylist you chose at this SuperCuts, your hair will look great-no ifs, ands,or buts.

I took my son there for a hair cut. When the lady asked me to check his hair I asked if she could even out a section. She actually took the clippers to his hair and started shaving his head!! When I asked her to stop she kept going. I literally had to yell at her to get her to stop. The manager did fix his hair but there was no apology and I still had to pay for the cut. One of my neighbors told me she had nearly the same experience at the same location. The manager did a good job of fixing his hair, but the older lady who started it needs to find a different line of work.

From 1987 to 1992,a little old lady named Lee at Continental Styling Salon was cutting my mom's, my dad's,my grandma's hair and mine. I was a little kid back then. Now,twenty-one years later,I go to SuperCuts in Sand City, all the stylists can make a client's hair look like one from the salon's book of styles or like a celebrity you want to look like.

PROS:Professionally trained stylists,no long lines,in fact, all the stylists at this SuperCuts(male or female)are so good you should give all of them a chance.

I used to go to the one in Monterey. But, now I go to the Sand City one. One big reason, better stylists. How much better? Better cuts, better service, more friendly, much better parking!

I had a regular stylist who'd cut my hair, and I'd pay her $75.00 for a cut , shampoo, and dry. I usually go around every 2-3 months, and the day that I had to go on vacation and needed a cut my stylist ended up getting very sick. My friend told me to go visit Sang at Supercuts in Sand City, I was scared, but my friend has been going to Sang since she was 10 years old and her hair always looks great. In fact I never believed her when she told me she goes to Supercuts. Anyway, I went to get my hair cut from Sang, and my cut took 25minutes, and looked way better than my 1 hour and $75 cut! I saved a good $50, and my hair looks fabulous. This was August of last year, and I've been going to Sang ever since. I don't know about the other stylists there, but Sang has been cutting hair for over 18 years and she is very very good. If she moved to her own salon and charged me $100 , I'd pay and go to her.

Situated in the big box shopping center of downtown Sand City, this Supercuts has ample parking and plenty of other stores within a hundred yards where you can run errands while you wait for your name to be called. The wait will typically be around 20-30 minutes, as it seems to be a popular destination on the weekend. The stylists are amiable, and they do a decent job for a guy like me. Just the basics - every four months whether I need it or not.

PROS: Plenty of parking.
CONS: Can get crowded during peak hours.

This is a great place to go if you are looking for a quick haircut for you or the kids. They are very nice and you never have to wait too long! The prices are just right too. They are great with kids. They offere a full range of hair care products and they not only cut hair, but do coloring and perms as well. I really like the fact that I have never had to wait too long to get my hair cut. You can just walk in, which is awesome if you decide last minute to get a trim. I recommend Supercuts for fast friendly service.
