A good place for Italian food. Sometimes the flavors are not all there but all it takes is a discussion with the server and they have a replacement out in no time. We go here about once per week.

Its a 3 star no way around it.
Very basic flavors, a little overcooked pasta, a little mushy ravioli. Wont be rushing back anytime soon but it wasn't an evening killer if you know what I mean.

I go to the Northridge Alessio's for lunch when I am tasting for some really good salmon or ahi. You might think that going to an Italian restaurant for fish is strange ... probably is ... but I have never been disappointed. The grilled salmon with a side of green beans is almost as good as the seared ahi. The fish servings are large and delicious.
It seems that the same waiters have been there for many years and, although I don't go there more than 2 or 3 times a month, they remember me and what I drink.
All in all ... highly recommend.

The most fabulous seafood soup in California! I've been eating at Alessios for years and we always have a fabulous meal. Great cocktails and I love the live music!

Being from Northridge i tend to get out of the valley for good food however, Alessio's was recommended by a friend and therefore I decided to try it out. The ambience was nice at first, a smaller restaurant that could be spruced up a bit, but dark enough to relax. That is until more than 3 tables are seated and the noice levels are horrible. On top of being too loud my service was absolutely appalling. To start the server did not come over for about 15 minutes (rather slow when only 6 other people were there). Then when we had to ask what wine was served by the glass instead of telling us brands he chose a cabernet sauvingon for us. Wonderful he told us, FAILING to mention the GLASS of wine was $29 each. (We would have bought a bottle for that price). We were then served dinner and checked up on by another waitor, not our own. Dinner was nice however i ordered the Sole Special and found it to be somewhat cold, as if it was sitting for a while. Finally, our dinner was finished and a large party arrived at the 3 tables behind us so we tried to hurry to get out of the place. Our server took our plates away, did not ask us if we wanted dessert or coffee and then dissapeared for about another 20 minutes. Occassionally i saw him go from the kitchen to outside patio but failing everytime to look over at us or bring the bill. As we sat and waited getting a little more upset each time he went by, we decided to get up and go to the bar to get our bill. Just as we got up he came over only to tell us, and i quote "I have a table of 14 women outside, what do you want me to do about it?" Excuse me i said. My friend then asked for the bill which was then brought over by yet another server. I am rather easy going, i understand that parties tend to be more difficult to handle, but with at least 4 servers on and quite a lot of empty tables on a Wednesday i would expect to be treated a bit better.

Therefore i will not go back to Alessios Ever.

We have been looking for good food in the valley, and came across this restaurant. It has become our go to restaurant when we have guests, just to relax, or for a nice dinner. It has consistently been good food. Pumpkin ravioli, beef cannelloni, and ciopino are among my favorites.

Alessio's is the perfect date restaurant. The food is great and it has the atmosphere of a fancy Italian restaurant but you can still dress casual. The California Chicken special is my fave!

We recently had dinner on a Friday night....we were with another couple and found the dinner less than relaxing. The noise level was off the charts and the pace was frantic.

While the food was good, I would not go back if I were looking for a relaxing way to end your work week. My ears were ringing when we walked outside.

You may have better luck outside on the patio, but it was too cold for us.

This is a great spot for both of us. We went more when we lived closer, but we still travel to Northridge now to visit. The food prices are perhaps a touch pricey, but the upscale italian bisrto atmosphere more than makes up for it. It reminds me of the places on "restaurant row' on Beverly. Lots of great wine, inside or outside eating, fabulous food. I am a fan on the champagne shrimp- my husband adores the veal parm. Appetizers are tasty, and if you still have need or inclination to indulge, they have some great tortes, custards and pasteries for dessert.

Service for us has always been fine if not outstanding. Sometimes when it is packed on the weekend, you may have to wait longer for the check- reservations will get you in quicker, too.

This is definitely worth checking out.

Pros: Good food, nice atmosphere, not too casual/formal- just right.

Cons: Can be hard to find- have to look carefully to find it.

We had just moved to the Valley and had a difficult time finding good restaurants. This one is a winner. It's located in a mini-mall and very inconspicuous. The complimentary warm rosemary bread and bruscetta are yummy. The entrees are delicious, so far we've tried the shrimp scampi, lasagne, and chxn parmigana. None of the dishes were disappointments. We come here monthly.

PROS: outdoor patio, great service, good food
CONS: on the pricey side, can get noisy

very empty enviorment. Food flavorless and not superior to other italian restaurants nearby. Price was ok but i would assume it to be less for the quality of the food. The decor was gorgeous though. Unfortunately i would not dine there again.

This is the best Italian restaurant I've been to since I moved here. The restaurant is always busy, but we never seem to have to wait long for a table. The service is top-notch, and the staff remembers you and treats you like family. The food is outstanding, and they have a decent wine list.

I love Italian food; I went to Italy just to get the taste of real Italian. I consider myself so lucky to find Alessio in S.California. I went to Thousand Oaks with my future wife three months ago in our first date and Im glad I picked Alessio. Nice wine collection, greatly pleasing and entertaining atmosphere with extremely pleasing to the sense of taste. Combination of professional management, who knows the Italian hospitality, hard work, top notch quality makes Alessio one of the bests.

I can only give this place top marks because it lacks competition in the area. If this place was in a trendier area surrounded by good restaurants it would probably get a solid recommend from me but not a highly recommend. The lack of anything other than chain restaurants in the north end of the San Fernando Valley causes me to bestow high praise on this joint. The food was very good... all the dishes you would expect from an Italian joint plus some nice specials. I got the chicken parmigiana and my wife got chicken in brandy cream sauce, which turned out to be excellent. The dessert tray did look good, with lot's of choice, and I settled on the hazlenut and chocolate cannoli. Again, very good. Also, the service was excellent... friendly, not too fast bringing out the food, constant bussing of the table.

If you are looking for a delightful change from the ordinary, then this is the place. A very nice, quaint restaurant with good food, good service at a good price. Don't wait 40 minutes for a table at the Olive Garden, come to Alessio.
