Shaab Japanese Restaurant

I've been her a dozen times now. The fish is fresh. There isn't much combination selection which is a downside. Go during lunch hours because the prices are much cheaper for the same amount of food. Dinner is a little too costly for the amount that they serve. The service is pretty bad there. But, it's still worth a visit.

This place is always crowded. The food is great and very reasonably priced. I don't think they have enough wait staff...or they aren't trained well. They forget things and it takes a long time to get your check. Other than the service, it was great.

the food was decent, so was the price. however, don't expect some fancy food or utensils. you really get what you paid for. perhaps because it is in the old pasadena and that it is japanese food the quality cannot be better for the price u pay. it was ok.

This is the best kept secret in Pasadena! Shaab offers great quality food at reasonable prices. I love their Wed lunch special spicy tuna don and their Thur lunch special salmon salad. Their presentation of the food is wonderful. We go there at least 3 times a week. - jl
