Ymca

This is a very good YMCA! Although it is new to me, several people I know have been happily using this gym for years. The YMCA is known for no-frills exercise rooms, but this site has up-to-date equipment that is regularly and carefully maintained. The workout rooms are very clean and sanitary, as are the locker rooms. There are various water aerobics classes where people "of a certain age" feel comfortable exercising. The staff is always very friendly and unintimidating. There is lots of family programming-truly something for everyone. The initial start up and monthly fees seem a little high for an individual- its a much better deal for entire families who plan on working out together.
