4 Stars: Excellent Place for Family Involvement & Socialization (by Kristine B.)

Analy Nursery School is a safe and loving environment that welcomes the family into all aspects of early childhood education. It's a wonderful way to get to know the children and the parents in our community. We have a child who is on the shy side -- she doesn't need academic rigor but she loves the play-based opportunities to get to know her peers, her teacher and the other parents. For us, the opportunities for adult education are wonderful. This is a wonderful place!

3 Stars: Loved by those who do it, but know what it is you're getting into (by jessica h.)

Please note that my children have not attended this program- I have only attended a preview of the school with my children and talked to parents who are involved in this school. This is a parent participation aka coop preschool based on the traditional set up of 1 workday a week per family regardless of how many days your child attends. They are a fairly small school and the curriculum and general attitude of the school is "relaxed". They are based on a play to learn philosophy so you will find little "pre-k" academics here but lots of great socialization and readying of other skills for kindergarten. This is a highly involved preschool that puts on a Halloween carnival each year for the community and a rummage sale. The tuition is very reasonable, but you will have to participate in fund-raising events and put in some volunteer hours. Everyone I know who has chosen this school loves it, but make sure you check it out first and preview with your child.

PROS: great community, lots of interaction with children and other parents
CONS: can require a lot of time from the parent so be prepared
