Saw the other review about lashes and I have to say I've been coming to Le Petite Retreat for 9 years now and have had all the different lash technicians do my lashes including the owner and everyone does an excellent job. I don't know what that other woman is talking about in her review but the lashes last about 4 to 6 weeks . Anyway, I never trust a person who uses a fake name to put reviews on anyway. They never have credibility when they have to lie about who they are. I've referred many a friend and co-workers here who love their lashes and services too. Short lashes don't matter as mine are pretty short but after the lash technician is done they look fabulous!!! I've also had the couples massages and facials and they are super too! Anyway, love this little jewel of a spa and highly recommend everything they offer.

It was my first experience to receive eyelash extensions. While the treatment, her touches were very hard. It felt as if she had very little experience even as an esthetician who was supposed to touch people's faces gently. After the treatment, I couldn't open one eye as some lower and upper lashes were glued together. She took off some glue with a solution. On my way home, I felt my eye still wasn't fully opened. At home, I found some lashes were still glued together at the outer end of the eye. So, I had to cut them with scissors. Also, one side looks fuller than the other. The manager told me it was because that's how my natural lashes were. I also have black dots of glue stuck to the skin in the under eye areas of one side. The manager tried to take them off by picking them first, then with some chemical. Since the skin was already irritated, it burned very badly. She said they would come off naturally. The area is still red and swollen. I also have black glue stuck to the skin at the roots of lashes. They look like small black beads in different sizes lined up unevenly. The manager told me it was because my lashes were weak and short, and they would come off as lashes grow. She examined my lashes before the treatment started. So, I wonder why any warnings of possible outcomes were not given if weaker and shorter lashes were a problem. Anyway, it does not worth to pay for. As a last note, at the time of making a reservation, the entire price plus 20% gratuity was automatically charged.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE!! I went to get eyelash extensions, the technician was so nasty while i was getting the lashes she made me cry. After she apologized saying that she had a death in the family and she should not be working. I left and Lysa, the owner, was scheduled to fix my lashes. Lysa did not show up to my appointment and she has since refused a refund.I paid almost $200 to sit in a chair get yelled at and have crazy-looking half done eyelashes. DON'T GO HERE, I have never complained about anywhere, ever, and I really wanted to like this spa. Unprofessional, unkind, unbelievable treatment.

I was really happy with my choice to come back to this spa. I've been to many over the past few years and I am glad that I chose LPR for this particular occasion - my 15th wedding anniversary. It was clean, everybody was nice, was not over priced. I'd reccomend the couple's retreat - outdoor massage + copper tub with champaign. Cheers!

As soon as my husband and I arrived we were attended to immediately. The entire staff was friendly and perfect the hole way through. I would recommend the Couples Jade Stone message to anyone who needs to feel rejuvenated and relaxed like never before. I've had a few other message experiences and none could compare to how great I felt leaving Le Petite. The masseur Ty was very professional and asked if there were areas I wanted him to focus on, during the message He made sure I was doing well. Although this was a while ago I wanted to make sure I took this time and say Thank you!!! from Busy Mom

For my 36th birthday this year my wife scheduled a "couples jade stone treatment" for us to enjoy together. I've always been very reluctant to give anything like this a try because of my fear of being embarrassed or uncomfortable (not to mention this was my wife's first time at Le Petite Retreat). This year I figured I've give it a try. The staff at Le Petite Retreat made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped foot in to the time I left. My wife and I shared champagne and a bubble bath in a copper bathtub surrounded by flickering candles and glowing stones. We then moved to the Cabana for our jade stone treatment. I've never experienced anything like it. The therapists were very professional, considerate and informative. Not once did they make me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable ( which was the reason I've stayed away). I definitely will return and do recommend Le Petite Retreat to any first timers or to those who frequent day spas.

I had been putting off getting a massage forever. Then one day my back ached so badly from sitting in front of my computer that I couldn't take it anymore! Finally on my day off, I decided to take a stroll into Le Petite since I've heard great things about it. I was instantly greeted with a smile from the desk clerk who graciously gave me keys to my locker so I could get prepared for my Jade Stone Massage. After changing, I went into the spa waiting area which is really relaxing and comfortable. They also have a very nice selection of beauty products as well. Once ready, my therapist asked if I would like some water and invited me into the massage room for my treatment. All I can say is that when the Jade Stones were in effect, I was so mad at myself for putting this off for so long! My therapist massaged all the right areas and the entire treatment was simply heavenly. Needless to say, my body thanked me! :-) Afterward, I visited the cedar sauna for a bit, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end. :-( About the only problem I can speak of is the limited parking in front - although there are plenty of meters along Larchmont and a parking garage right next door. Regardless, I will definitely be back here in the future and I highly recommend their level of professional expertise as well.

I went in for a facial and a bath here. The manager of the store and Brook, the person who did my facial was very nice. They really went out of their way to make my experience there as enjoyable as can be. I went to other spas before but this is the best spa I've ever went to. I thought it was only a face massage but when the mask was on my face, Brook massaged my head,neck,shoulders, arms, and legs. It was wonderful! I'm definitely bringing my mom here. I highly recommend everyone to go to this Spa.

I had the best massage on Saturday. It was outside in the cabana, slightly chilly day but the cabana was all warm and toasty. I swear time stood still. I had that "where am I?" feeling when the massage was over. The "Quiet Room" had a lovely fire in the fireplace. I relaxed for a while after the massage with some magazines, hot tea, and a warm neckroll. I would have stayed forever, but then I remembered that I didn't live there. haha!

My favorite spa in LA! I will definitely be coming back and next time I'll bring my husband for a couples massage and a champagne bath in their beautiful copper tub.

I got the best Eyelash application that I've ever gotten. I've tried so many places and none of them last like these do!! Le Petite does the best job. Very precise and they lasted almost 8 weeks. I waited almost 2 months to write this review to make sure. I also tried the waxing and it was very very clean. Fast and very complete. I really enjoyed my treatments and I know you will too!

I was there yesterday and my gal pal and I have a terrific experience. I have to say I was intrigued by the hokie negative reviews I read. I know that most people don't give creadence to negative reviews because usually it's the people writing them who are negative. Anyway, I laughed when I read them and seeing this place on TV recently (which has much more credibility than a few vindictive customers!) I decided to give it a whirl. WOW is all I can say. The place was charming and the staff excellent. This place was sooo busy even in this economy. THAT's gotta tell you something!

after being a little concerned about my lashes, the owner herself underderstood and brought me in for an appt the very next day knowing that i had an event over the weekend. she made them even better than i had expected.

i would refer le petit day spa to friends and family.

The receptionist with a strange hairdo from Glendale was extremely rude. Once I checked in, she just pointed to the door behind her without showing me where to go and change. After the treatment, I gave her a fifty dollar bill to change to leave a tip for the beautician. She put the bill in the drawer and turned to me telling me that in that part of town, the tip would not be less than fifty (for $85 treatment). I didn't think so. She said she did not have change anyway and was not in the banking business to make change for customers.
I had to go to a store and return to tip the beautician in the middle of an argument she was having with another client over a bottle of water.
It was not a relaxing experience. I would rather stay in Beverly Hills and avoid the strange hairdo and eyeliner lady.

My experience was really terrific. My girlfriend and I just celebrated our 12th anniversary and found this little oasis in the heart of a very busy and crazy city. We were on vacation and this place was highly recommended from the hotel we were staying at which was the Beverly Wilshire Hotel off of Rodeo and Wilshire. The Jade Stone was really an experience of awe and true relaxation. We frequent Los Angeles now more with my new job so we will definetly be back.

The spa is a quiet place where you can just relax. i went there for a body scrub and deeptissue massage. and it was amazing. They got me in quick, yet still gave me plenty of time to relax. They have a living room where you wait and it has a water fountain and an aquarium and water and tea for you to enjoy.

My therapist knew exactly what he was doing. I started to feel myself melt into the table. and the body scrub smelt so good. I cant believe i hadn't found this place sooner!!!!

If you want a relaxing day in busy LA, i highly reccomend this place, you will feel like you are in paradise

That's how I felt after having my Harmony Package. What a wonderful time I had. Today it is such a luxury having an entire day to yourself. I felt like I was in Nirvana. Peace and tranquility swept over me...I felt like I was floating. I really experienced a staycation right there in the spa! I would normally have to pack my bags and leave town to feel this good. Now I have a place of serenity right here in Los Angeles.

Look at the reviews... read them closely. They are coming from the owners of the place. They are all on the same day ... anytime someone writes a bad review they flood it with their own positive "made up" reviews. Just read the content and look at the dates! I'm saying this because I fall for it. I read all the lastest good reviews and only wish I would have read the ones that had been covered up. DON'T BE FOOLED....

Each one of us came out a new person. We eached purchased a gift certificate for a friend to share our experience. All the treatments were first rate. Try this place out - it will melt your stress away!

What a day at the day spa! I wanted to get away in the middle of my work week, it's been so busy and full of stress. I wanted to take a moment to myself , a getaway. I did. I booked a massage for myself on a lunch break ( long lunch) and it was heaven. The staff at Le Petite Retreat were amazing, what nice people. They made me feel so comoforted . I was worried about being "seen", but they assured me the way they pull back the covers, they can't "see" anything. I was at peace the whole time, what HEAVEN in the middle of the day! I am going to play hookie again for sure. It's the way to go.

I went as a treat for my birthday. I had the Jade hot/cold stone massage, body scrub and herb bath. The 90 minute jade stone massage was pure heaven. I was a little concerned when they said they were going to use stones that had been in ice water but it was a great complement to the hot stones. The body scrub was great and my skin felt very soft after. The bath could have been skipped but it was part of the package. Also you don't get to pick what order your services are in and I would have perfered the body scrub before the massage but it won't stop me from going back. The spa is very nice and they provide a nice locker area with soap, shampoo and dryers, no need for you to bring anything extra. If you can't afford one of the package treatments, then save your money and go for the jade hot/code stone massage, it's worth every cent!

This Spa is the BEST IN LA! I've tried them all--but, Le Petite is the Le Grande Fromage when it comes to CONSISTENT QUALITY TREATMENT. The masseurs all are exceptional with treatments that are equally in calming and theraputic. It's more than a treat for myself--now, I go so often that it has become part of my health regime along with my yoga and meditation. Le Petite really has helped me feel more balanced.

I've been around the block for waxing (bikini) which is always a good or bad experience. This place marks the spot. Fast, and let's just say extremely effecient and detail oriented. The best I've every had. No bruising or redness. Lysa knows her stuff. As far as the lashes go - also the best. I have to say I look great and am proud of it. Great choice for the delicate areas of your body.

Had my eyelashes done and WOW WOW! It totally changed my entire face. The best part, I waited 6 weeks before I decided to write this review and I still have them on! I just wanted to make sure that they lasted before I wrote a review. Not only did they last but the mascara coating on them lasted too. I get so many compliments all the time. Booked another appointment for next month. I'm addicted!

Treatment was not what I had requested. The owner was very rude to me and my friends. I can see she makes a habit of this based on other reviews. I would not not recommend visting this spa. The experience is not pleasant.

I experienced this spa as being completely understaffed. I am not going to go into specifics because apparently any less than stellar review here gets argued with on line by the owner of this business. Potential buyers beware and take note of how this business owner conducts herself with the negative reviews on this web site as this is the case with her business. The customer gets blamed for the spas inability to provide the service they advertise. I almost did not leave a review at all but I was treated so callously at this place on what was supposed to be a special day for me that I had to say something.

My husband and I love Le Petit Retreat! We've been to many spas, and this is one of our top favorites. The atmosphere is serene and beautiful. We love the Champagne Bath and the Jade Stone Massage. Going to Le Petit Retreat is like a one-day revisiting of our honeymoon! We always leave there feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

I've been to several spas in Los Angeles and they are usually full of snoots. Le Petite Retreat is definetly by far the best service all the way around. The Jade Stone massage was excellent and the RegenisCell Facial was amazing. All the staff from the receptionist to the therapist were very professional and engaging. I would highly recommend this place. I even saw a A list celeb there (but I won't say who, because I know they appreciate their privacy) enjoying a little R & R. Definetly, a place to chill out.

Had the most beautiful lashes put on the other day. I can't believe the transformation they made on my face. All my friends and even stranger approach me to admire my lashes. The mascara coating is not regular mascara but this black silky coating that makes the lashes look so real it's unbelieveable. I'm addicted now to the lashes and I'm coming back to try that Jade Stone massage which I've heard so much about. Can't wait.

Found this place on Good Morning America regarding the Academy Awards the other day and this place is fantastic. The best massages and facials by far in California. I've seen a lot of great articles and reviews and the quality surpasses the other competition hands down. The Jade was incredible and the facial amazing. We loved everything from the inviting music outside when you park your car to the warmth of the fireplace in the cozy relaxation room once you are in puffy robes and slippers. What a great experience. I own a publishing company and will be buying all of my 500 employees packages for the holidays. Thanks again Le Petite Retreat Day Spa you RULE!

Let me just say anyone who doesn't appreciate this place is really out of their mind. This spa is by far the most elegant and truly the most relaxing than any other spa I've been to. You don't feel like cattle like at Burke Williams being shuffled around. You can tell Le Petite is into quality not quantity. Some spas I've been to have just jumped on the bandwagon trying to be a "Couples Spa" but just don't seem to get it right. This place did it to perfection. You really have to try it, you will really enjoy yourself.

Loved my facial with Lysa. She gave a very thorough facial and was gentle at the same time. My skin was glowing and radiant from the RegenisCell facial. I had so many blackheads but not a mark on my face after the extractions and she did a lot! My skin has never looked better. I bought a series to keep coming back. Highly recommend!

Hi Public:

Just wanted you to know that I was at the spa when the woman "Crystal1234" came into the spa the day before Valentine's Day. What a loon. First, of all I agree with the response from the owner who was very busy, but professional and really handled herself in a friendly manner. I was there next in line to purchased a gift certificate and actually used it today. I just left the spa a few hours ago. What a fabulous experience. The best Valentine's Day I've ever had. From the Champagne and Mimosas to the Valentine's spread of Godiva Chocolates, cookies and delicious treats to the fantastic 90 minute Jade Couples Massage and the Champagne for two bath, this whole experience was remarkable. Having had lunch with friends who went elsewhere to another local spa (who also came in below Le Petite for "Best Couples Spa") where they were disappointed with the other spa they went to and said it was okay after they heard from me and my Valentine was a great time we had. Le Petite definetly lives up to it's reputation and gets Kudo's from us! Thanks and we'll be back!

At first glance, I thought this spa would be small boutique type spa that offered individualized/customized attention and care. The receptionist, who is also the manager, and the owner showed poor customer service. She remained on the phone while attempting to answer some of questions. I can't imagine what kind of service they provide in the treatment rooms...something I would never want to find out! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!"

I've never had a heated Jade Stone massage, but it was amazing. Took a lot of knots out of my back. This place easily accommodates couples as well. It was the best escape for us on a rainy day. But we'll go back on any kind of day, if given the chance again soon.

Let me tell you about this jewel of a spa. I've been around to plenty copycat spas that just started popping up within the last couples of years and this place definetly holds its own. Organized better than any place I've been. We were taken on time, therapist were pleasant and friendly, front desk was very professional and when you reflect back on your experience, it puts a great big smile on your face. I've had extensions before but these were the best. I got soooo many compliments about how BEAUTIFUL my lashes looked. They really boost your self confidence and you feel really special. I also loved my body scrub and the Jade Stone Massage. This place was really charming and highly recommended by the Renassiance Hotel in Hollywood. It's great to see the owner really cares about the over all experience for all of the people visiting there (and there were quite a few)! Definetly worth it!

I have been to quite a few spas in the Los Angeles area. My husband bought me a package for my birthday with a facial, soak, and a massage. While the soak and massage were great, the facial lasted only half the scheduled time. After the facial, the therapist was too pushy selling products (which she could have used for the facial itself). I told her I am satisfied with the Dermalogica products I use and she commented how bad those products were. I complained to the receptionist that I only received half the scheduled facial time and she only apologized.

I've been getting eyelash extensions at LPR for a year now, and I am totally addicted. I have fair skin, fair hair, and light eyes, so my eyes tend to fade into the rest of me. Lysa makes my eyes POP! It's a subtle change, but at the same time, it makes such a huge difference in my overall appearance and confidence. In my opinion, extensions are a way better option than regular false eyelashes; they are natural enough so you don't look like a showgirl when you're at the grocery store, and then if you're going out you can apply mascara at the tips for a more dramatic look that's way more comfortable than falsies or heavy coats of mascara. Also, if you go swimming, or exercising, or any other activity where makeup can't be worn, eyelash extensions keep you looking great. The atmosphere at Le Petite Retreat is so relaxing, I think I've actually dozed off a few times during the process.
My only warning is that once Lysa does your eyelashes, you will not be able to resist getting them done again and again.

UPDATE: I was pretty baffled when I read some of the negative reviews of LPR. I went and looked at the profiles of the reviewers, and some are without a doubt fake reviews from competitors. One "customer" reviewed three different spas in one day with vague complaints about service and sanitary issues. Beware of whose opinion you're relying on!

This is the only place I have ever been who charges a 20% tip automatically on every treatment. I much prefer leaving a gratuity myself, and almost always tip 20% anyway, but it feel oppressive and offensive to have them decide that for me. Plus I like to tip the therapists directly in cash so they don't have to deduct the credit card fees from their tips. Frankly, my facial was underwhelming and I would have more likely tipped 15%. People should know that tip is on top of their treatment prices for all individual treatments, and it is for packages too.

This place is a little too pretentious and precious for me. I love high end luxury places but didn't feel that here. It felt a little disingenuous to be honest. I would not go back.

My husband and I recently had an unforgettable experience at Le Petit Retreat. We scheduled the couples jade massage and copper bath tub treatment. What a delight!!!! With three kids we don't get much time to ourselves, but after spending the day here we felt renewed and young again!! This place is incredible! From the moment you walk in you're made to feel like you're a V.I.P We've been to several top name spa's, but have never experienced the first class service we had at Le Petit. Give yourself an early Christmas treat and get an appointment as soon as you can!! Thank you to all the staff- you guys are the greatest!! We can't wait to go back!

The atmosphere is perfect - from the lighting to the scents in the air, I relaxed the second I walked in the door. My transformation facial left me feeling refreshed and thrilled with the experience - and making an appointment for a massage the following week. Let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed! I can't wait to have my next massage - I've made a standing monthly appointment :)

This spa isn't for everybody, it's for those of us who L-U-V personal attention! From caring help over the phone, to the graceful welcome when you enter the front door, you continue to be treated as a special person, not a number. And for numbers - my friend's and I L-U-V that when we make reservations (tough to get sometime, but I understand) that they include gratuity with the charge -- that way we don't worry about forgetting cash to tip the best masseuse or their top facial person -- it's effortless, and now me and my friends are all Le Petite Retreat converts!

That is the most rediculous remark ever. So you truly believe that your service is that great that the only time someone ever gives you a bad comment is if they're a competitor? Look at my username again. 714, I"m about an hour away from you. If i was a competitor I wouldn't have bothered to look up a fake location just to make you guys look bad. LIke I already said, my friends did have the gift certificates IN HAND, I sent it via USPS certified mail, they received it. I have proof they received it, they did not try to make reservations IN ADVANCE prior to receiving said gift certificates. Your workers were the ones that DID NOT ASK for the gift certificate numbers, otherwise they WOULD'VE given it. My friends even tried to give my name, in which you guys said, my name wasn't even in the systems and you guys wanted ME to call. How rediculous is that? IF YOU GUYS ARE AFRAID OF FRADULENT GIFT CERTIFICATES, than have one made with specific water marks on them like US CURRENCY or CHECKS FROM BANKS. THE FACT THAT YOU GUYS WOULDN"T EVEN ALLOW MY FRIENDS TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IS A CLEAR SIGN YOU GUYS ARE NOT HONORING YOUR GIFT CERTIFICATES. You guys could've allowed them to make the appointment, and have them show to you prior to entering your spas. This was a wonderful experience at Le Petite Retreat. This was quite the treat at Le Petite Retreat! The bath was wonderful and the massage and facial too. Even had a celeb siting which was fun. Saw Tom and Katie Cruise getting into the couples bath after their massage. They seemed very please like we were. This definetly the hot spot for spas. Great experience, highly recommend!

I recently paid another visit to Le Petite Retreat Day Spa in Larchmont. I LOVE this place. It is so charming and serene. Truly an oasis of tranquility in the middle of hustle bustle Los Angeles. Once again, I had Michael give me the jade stone treatment and it was like being melted into a state of pure bliss. Michael has that extra special something I always hoped to find in a massage therapist but never did until I went to Le Petite. I truly recommend this place . I wish they had a ten star rating, and even then I would give it eleven.

I had the 60 min. signature Jade Stone Massage (the front desk recommended it over the deep tissue as its results last a week vs. 24 hrs) and not only did it feel like I had booked a 90 min. but my back is still feeling better 3 days later. After my massage (in an outdoor cabana!) I was taken to another area with a dry sauna all to myself and a single bathroom with shower. It felt like I had my own private retreat! I had no problem booking a couple days in advance for a Friday morning. Overall, top notch staff and an extremely relaxing experience!

I like the cabana treaments. There's none better I know of in town. This is above all, the best Spa I've tried out, and one of the few I return to when given the opportunity. The staff is attentive and friendly. It's a pure escape. I haven't tried the facials yet, but I plan to on my next visit.

Sometimes we all need to take a breather and enjoy ourselves in this stressful universe called reality. Did I ever! If you need a break from the everyday and wish to disappear into tranquility, look no further than this classy cove located in the heart of Larchmont Village. I visited on a whim and experienced a "WOW!" The surroundings were vibrant and made you feel as if inside the coziest remote cabin. My deep tissue massage was very relaxing and instantly made me forget the day. All the employees were very knowlegable and courteous too, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. If looking for a quick escape like I was, Le Petite Retreat will make your day end-or begin-on a high note!

I was a tennis player in college. I still play quite often. After a big match, I like to get a massage. Usually thai or deep tissue. I usually go for one of those cheap massage places, and they're usually pretty good. But my girlfriend recently got us a couples treatment at Le Petite Retreat for our 1 year. She said it was going to be a hot stone treatment. I didn't know what to expect. I thought that they would just randomly place hot stones on my body and let them sit (at least it looks like that's how they do it from the pictures). But to my surprise they massaged me all over with them. With the gel they used, it felt like they were massaging me with hot wax. This along with the deep tissue strokes, turned me into jelly. After it was all over, I was excited to find out that my girl had gotten a bath treatment for us as well. The tub was huge and it was nice to have some alone time together. Finally, we spent some time in their dry sauna. Between the hot stones, the bath, and the sauna all of my soreness had melted away. Now thinking back to those bargain massages I went to, I realize you get what you pay for.

If you like to be pampered, this is the place to be. We had a great month at work so I decided to treat my big producers to an all expense day spa experience. I did some research and two of our celebrity clients recommended Le Petite Retreat. We started out our day with class and when the time came for our arrival the entire staff was expecting us. My agents were greeted by a flawless reception and the staff was very organized on exactly what to do. Since there was a few of us, the rotation was un noticeable. Everyone was very satisfied and most importantly, so was I. Since our day started early and my staff did not know what to expect, we were not prepared. No one brought anything. The spa had everything we could need; robes, slippers, razors, tooth brushes, shaving cream, Champaign, etc. We walked in with nothing and we left
with a great experience. I have purchased gift certificates and now I give them as incentives to my staff...

Its hard to find a quality spa in los angeles. If you want a genuine retreat with great professional service, this is the place. I had a long stressful day in court and almost cancelled my appointment. I walked in and was greeted by a beautiful woman with a smile that made me forget who I was for a moment. I left all my problems at the door. I was promptly catered to and quickly began an Ionic treatment (that you have to see to believe), a facial, followed by a great massage ending in a herbal bath in a copper tub. I must admit, I left very relaxed and happy. The experience was no bargain but some things are priceless. Im returning soon and I can?t wait to see that smile again.... oh yea, they accept Amex.

If you're truly looking for a 'day spa' experience, you're better off saving your $400 and spending it at a spa with actual amenities. Using the word 'spa' in the title is VERY liberal. This is a small neighborhood massage parlor. Period. First impression: smelled awful! Like a house that leaves kitty litter in the kitchen. No candles burning, receptionist was 'fine', not friendly by any means, and certainly not what you would expect when you're craving a day of relaxation. Bathrooms were a joke, shower was smaller than my own at home, and that's not saying much. The only saving grace was the massage. Good. BUT definitely not worth the price!!

My first time at La Petite Retreat and I assure you it will not be my last. My boyfriend treated me to the Jade Stone Therapy treatment and Van of La Petite made it not only the most relaxing experience, but a healing one as well; the hard, tense knots in my neck and shoulders melted away. I could breathe more fully and deeply. I'm almost embarassed to say, but I believe this treatment eliminated a lot of excess water; when I looked in the mirror afterward I noticed a reduction, especially in my thigh area. As I left, my mind was happily planning my next visit. Thank you, Van- you have a gift. And thank you, La Petite Retreat.

I was not disappointed by the Renewal Spa package. I have not had a full spa experience until I went to Le Petite. I have gone in for a facial, pedicure, or massage. While in L.A., I decided to try it. It was relaxing and invigorating. The staff at Le Petite were friendly and helpful. They explained each treatment I was to have and the benefits of the treatment. I would definitely recommend this spa to those who are looking to get away for the afternoon and take some "ahhhh" time. I can't thank them enough.

My husband wanted to treat us for our 2nd wedding anniversay which also happened to be a month after i gave birth to our first child so I welcomed the idea of a couples spa. the hot/cold jade stone massage was really fantastic along with the full body scrub the ladies were professional and courteous. then we went on to the couple spa bath and that was enjoyable. then we got to do a couples facial and that was refreshing as well. I had an issue with the lady at the front desk but the owner rectified everything and called me. the owner cares about your experience and will go the extra mile to make sure you are a happy customer.

From the moment I set foot in the door, I was transported to a place of tranquility and beauty. I don't know how this spa has created such an oasis in the middle of Los Angeles. My treatments included the hot and cold jade stone massage (divine and healing) and a superb facial. Next time I plan on bringing my husband for a couples massage. Le Peteite Retreat manages to be beautiful and yet homey and comfortable at the same time. There's no "attitude" and no stress. The owner, Lysa, is lovely and welcoming and also very knowledgable about her treatments. I have never been to a high-end spa like this where the owner is on site. Maybe that's ahwt makes the difference. Thank you, Le Petite Retreat, for an extraordinary experience which I intend to make a habit.

With the proliferation of day spas, this one has stood the test of time. It is a little intimate jewel, where you are pampered and float out on a cloud. The owners have poured their hearts and souls in to the place, and it shows. My most recent massage was not only blissful, but therapeutic as well. As an aside, this extremely negative review which has been posted recently is blatantly a hatchet job. Don't you (City Search) have a policy about this kind of slander?

In a word, extraordinary! Honestly, I was hesitant about leaving a review as this is now my single most favorite spa in a US city (my overall favorite up to now having been in Tokyo). However, I decided not to be so selfish and let others in on this remarkable hideaway. Many may relate to me in traveling like crazy so that the question becomes "who" rather than "where" am I. That having been said, sometimes it becomes necessary to follow your instincts and find a new spa on a whim ? at the risk of not always getting what you want. Well, I happened to be in LA for a day, happened to have the day to do as I wished (A rare luxury!), and my body was screaming out to me for help! So, I searched the web and something about this place called out to me. Fortunately, it was during the week and they were able to fit me in immediately! I knew what I wanted yet had no idea what I needed - Lysa (such a charming & beautiful person) recommended the perfect treatments for my needs over the phone and more upon my arrival. I spent 4 hours being pampered, nurtured and coming out feeling renewed, refreshed, and so beautiful! Without revealing names as I am certain all the specialists are amazing, I?ll simply say they work so well together that their energies intertwine, making you feel like one, which I believe is an imperative factor in the healing process. The facilities are so relaxing (and immaculate) that you actually forget you're in the city. So, rather than sharing my whole experience, I will say that the healing is still working after an entire day and my body has become balanced from within. I love this place, the products used, and the hospitality so much that I am seriously thinking of a trip to LA just for another "Le Petite Retreat" experience. I?m hooked! I have been to many high end spas and some moderate spas. My experience at Le Petite was perfect and exactly what a spa should be. From the minute I stepped into the lobby I totally relaxed. The staff was committed to my having a great experience. As soon as I changed into the comfy robe, I stepped into the relaxing living room setting. Sipping tea and listening to relaxing music was the start of total relaxation. A lovely young woman came to get me for my facial. It was refreshing, stimulating and rejuveninating. I was asked if I would like to try the spa line and I replied that I had enough lotions to start a store. The facialist told me not to worry, when I used up my supply of lotions, the spa would be glad to suggest products. There was no hard sell. My next visit was for a cold stone massage. This massage was wonderful. The therapist used just the right amount of pressure and did not rush the treatment. I felt as if my comfort was the most important thing. I told the therapist that I did not want too much pressure and the massage was perfect. When it was over, I was more relaxed than I have been in a long time.

If you are looking for comfort and relaxation, this is truly the spa for you. Kudos to the staff at this lovely oasis.

Now that the holidays are over, one of my first priorities is to get into Le Petite for a complete spa day. I have done this on several occasions since the spa first opened and it is absolutely the best present that you could give yourself. Especially after a very stressful time such as the month of December can be for all of us.

I bought my boss a gift certificate and I am going to take some of the other ladies that I work with here with me so that they can become "addicted" to Le Petite like I am. Treat yourself well. If you don't, no one else will.

We did the couples massage, hot tub, and sauna package. The hot stone massage was very relaxing and highly recommended. However, the hot tub was not great and the champagne served was cheap. That said, there's not many spas in town that have couples treatment, so if this is what you're looking for it's worth a try. A nice experience, but didn't justify the prices.

I had the Warm Stone massage and it was incredible and will definitely go back when I need to treat myself to an excuisite moment of relaxation. It started off my weekend right and it really allowed me to enjoy the weekend and be fully refreshed to start off my week right. I really enjoyed the experience!! My boyfriend and I were truly taken care of at this very cozy, classy los angeles day spa. But, you do have to be on time, and make you reservations in advance, but it was well worth it. There's a good reason why people in LA love this spa the best, and why so many people have reviewed it -- Le Petite Reteat is truly a gem of a spa, with the best facials and massages in los angeles, (and in the West, vs. some spas we've been to in Phoenix@)

It's hard to find places that will do couples massages/spa events, but this place did it great. My wife and I went for our 3rd year anniversary, and did an exfoliating scrub, turkish bath, and jade hot/cold stone massage. It was a combination of relaxing and therapeutic. After the jade massage, they said that the pressure/stones pushed a lot of toxins out of muscles, pressure points, etc. (I don't quite remember), and I believed it! It was quite a workout -- I felt like I got my money's worth. Even though it hurt at times, it also made my muscles really really soft, even some of the chronically tense parts of my body. Usually I don't like pressure/painful massages, but this was something else. It was great and worth every penny! And it was incredibly romantic and fun too, being able to do it side by side with my wife.

I had the epicuren facial at Le Petite Retreat, which I really enjoyed. The spa is easy to find, has its own parking right out front, and has a large, well-stocked changing room. The "relaxation room" is, in fact, relaxing. There is water and juice readily available if you want it. I was actually taken early, which was a nice surprise, and Gabrielle is quite good. She respected my desire to know everything about every product she was using, and made some excellent suggestions for taking care of my skin. She also helped me to sit up on the table at the end, which was much appreciated.
The only awkward part is insisting on full payment at the time of booking, and then almost threatening us with wanting to put the 20% tip on the bill "or you'll have to use cash" at the spa. I definitely do not tip ahead of time, and usually when I do tip, it's usually more than the 20% they were wanting to put on the card at the time I scheduled. It seems a bit of a disservice to the aestheticians, and awkward for the customers. I am not sure why they have adopted this policy, but it does seem a little off-putting for new customers.

The people there are very friendly, the place is decorated perfect, it was a place you can unwind, and my massage was incredible. I will definetly treat myself more often.

This spa is wonderful. It is perfectly relaxing and very professional. I had a great experience there. The outdoor cabanna massages were so peaceful most of the time...but you might want to request it inside instead as the spa can't control noises coming from outside, including crying children. Also, there is only a sauna, not a steam room. Despite these minor inconveniences, the experience was well worth it.

I have been getting waxed, massage and facials here for the last 5 years. All the staff is fabulous, especially Gabrielle for facials and Lysa (the owner) for waxing. The signature facial is pure heaven and my skin looks absolutely amazing afterwards, no red and no makeup necessary for days! LPR has a personalized touch that is lacking in major chain spas and has all the wonderful amenities of a larger spa. Plus, all the products used are natural and wonderful. Highly recommend!

I have been to spas all over the world and I must say that I am truly impressed with this darling spa. I arrived very stressed out from sitting in traffic (L.A!!!) and the girl at the front desk immediately offered me a cup of soothing tea to relax me. I then received a facial from Gabrielle, she was by far the best therapist I have ever had. My skin was glowing and it still is! Lysa completed my experience with lash extensions and I have felt beautiful and relaxed ever since. Thank you Le Petite Retreat- I WILL be back.

I really enjoyed the experience that I received when I went to get a massage. From the onset of my visit, I was treated with respect and professionalism and the owner even came out to greet me and talk to me for a while. The massage was very relaxing and enjoyable and one of the best massages I have received. I was treated like a queen and I enjoyed the atmosphere, which made me feel I was in a paradise. The products they used, as well as the products that I bought were extraordinary. I would definitely return and go back to get another massage and even try other services. I would highly recommend anyone to go and get a first hand experience for themselves, it was worth the time.

upon arrival the woman at the counter wouldn't get off the phone and hurried me through the process of checking in. no one was waiting and i was early to my appointment. when i asked questions about amenities she was dismissive. i made it to the waiting room and there was no water in the teapot so i asked for more hot water. the woman gave me a look and put luke warm water in the pot. i had scheduled a 90 minute massage but they gave me a 60 minute. at check out when i looked at the clock and realized what had happened they made me feel like an idiot instead of wanting to help rectify the situation. i still have money on the gift certificate but don't want to go back. i felt more stressed out & anxious leaving then when i walked in.

The Jade Stone Massage was amazing. It was on a patio in a cabana and I truly felt like I was on vacation, far away. Most important for me, the staff was professional, helpful, not intimidating or snobby (like some comparable LA spas) and clearly skilled at both the treatments and creating an atmosphere of comfort and peace. Excellent.

I was at La Petit Retreat on Larchmont Bl. My experiences with this spa span a period of time (having been several times over the past years as long as 3 plus years ago and as recently as this year). The brow tint was done by the owner, Lysa, actually and that was done quite some time ago. The memory is still fresh however. I maintain my review that the customer service was not good at all and though the massage I did have was great, one should look elsewhere if the overall spa experience is important to them.

If you want to blend in with a crowd, Le Petite Retreat Day Spa isn't for you, as they take the time to make you feel like a person, quite rare here in LA!!! They do the BEST Bikini waxing (either Brazillian or hairless) but their couples massage and couples facials always leave me and my boyfriend relaxed and content! (the tub is awesome too!!!!) So if you know how to spa, Le Petite Retreat will convert you to be a regular too!!!

Le Petite Retreat continues to be my absolute favorite spa. The owners are always on the premises and more than happy to accomodate you for whatever your needs may be. The variety of services they offer are also very impressive. I have never had to wait very long and on the one occasion I did, the owners offered me a complimentary copper tub treatment. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone.

I recently had a prenatal massage at Le Petite. When I made the reservation I asked if the therapist had experience with prenatal massage. They said yes, and went on about how qualified all their people were. Once I stepped into the room I could tell he didn't. I asked about his experience. He had one or two other pregnant women before. He proceeded to dig in with deep massage in places he shouldn't (tops of shoulders). I had to stop him and redirect him. He was nice, but very inexperienced and it was an awful massage. My friends had great massages and the space is peaceful. I just have to warn other pregnant women to avoid this place.

The massage was so relaxing, it was difficult to move afterwards, one could easily fall asleep, the copper tub is unbelievably comfortable, somehow soft and warm. Waxing which is never fun, hurt very little and was done with dispatch. A great experience all around. truly a find for LA; the cheap parking in the garage next door kept me from worrying about any street meter.

From the moment I stepped in the room, i felt the weight that had been dragging on my shoulders fall off onto their beautiful wooden floors. From the charming receptionists and owners, to the eloquent decor, to the private, secluded massage rooms in which you can have any one of the various and creative treatments, everything about this place made me feel comfortable. I definitely felt like i was in good hands. And to top it all off, there is a starbucks a block away.

My bf and I went her and got a massage and the couples soak. It was WONDERFUL. My bf was a little scared because he had never been to a spa before but he ended up loving his surprise! Great idea for Valentine's day. They could do a better job of explaining what is going on and about their services (we weren't offered the sauna and were kinda clueless as to how the services would go, but luckily I had read ahead on the website). In other words, if you are a first time spa goer, ask lots of questions or you may miss out. Other than that, it was great!

I am truly not one to complain about trivial things, BUT I thought I should share my experience. I called today to book an appointment for me and my friend who just got engaged and asked if they had any openings this weekend. The receptionist told me that she was with another client and she would call me back. No Problem. When she did call me back, my phone began to ring (I was at work), and I asked her if she could hold for a sec b/c I was at work, and she actually rudely said "Maybe". I was shocked being that her job is to be polite and make $$$ for the spa. As somebody who works in customer service, I expected WAY more based on reviews. I am sure the actual spa services are good but I chose to go elsewhere due to lack of customer service.

I got the couple's hot stone massage and champagne bath for my boyfriend's birthday recently. The massage was satisfactory, but we felt very rushed as the masseurs didn't leave the room to give us a chance to unwind from the massage and put our robes on, as most salons do. Also, the couples "cabana" as shown in the website is misleading. The couples are shown in a SPACIOUS room staring into each other's eyes, but the ACTUAL room that the massage is conducted in for TWO people is TINY!! The masseurs were literally bumping into each other. On top of it all, the champagne bath was not worth the price. You walk into the bath room, and there is a cheap MINIATURE bottle of champagne that barely filled two PLASTIC champagne glasses. Overall, that it was overpriced for it's AVERAGE services.

I know that this place has been getting a lot of hype but let me tell you..it's TOTALLY WORTH IT. my boyfriend and I had a couples spa day and we felt very welcome and pampered. The owner was very cordial and the staff was friendly and cheerful. It's a very relaxing atmosphere. We each had a facial, hot stone massage and we shared a couples soak. I had people commenting TWO DAYS later that my skin looked fantastic. I will recommend this place to anyone who needs a fantastic day of pampering! I'll definitely go back. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is the lack of parking. We parked two streets away to avoid meters and street restrictions - since you can't exactly get up from your facial to go plug quarters into the meter or move your car...But the walk was good for us anyways.

This is by far the nicest day spa I've ever visited. The interior reminds you of a hidden nook you've only seen in movies. And the facials are to die for! A deep tissue massage I selected was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered and all was topped off with a deluxe steam bath which practically opens the gates of heaven. Highly recommended-especially if you need to wash away the stress of your day.

i used to come here all the time and i became a customer they knew by name, until one day i had a bad waxing experience and lets just say my eyes were in pain for a while, i went to talk to the owner and instead of offering me a gift or even an apology (which was all i wanted) she disgarded the issue as if i was a fault. i later went back to have a similar attitude thrown at me when they decided to give my appointment away to someone who wanted a more expensive treatment... i loved this place until they made me feel like i was just money to them.

I went here when I couldnt get to my normal day spa , I would just say that they are ok, but I have purchased several gift certificates for friends, family members, and co- workers, tey all love it, maybe im just used to my normal spa, and the prices are a little but high not to high though, I would reccomend it, its worth a try and its not a waste of money, its just a little out of the way for me, they also have a website that you can purchase grea products for home.

You will absolutely ADORE this spa! Easily the best I've ever visited in LA. The atmosphere is adorable, the service is "petite" and once you get the massage of your choice, you will not want to leave. There is no room for disappointment here, since the employees are so courteous and do their best to provide you with the finest experience a spa of this caliber could offer. About the only qualm I have is I wish there were more ample parking, but that isn't such a problem since there is a parking structure located next door (something I noticed on my way out!). All in all, a great way to spend YOUR day! Recommended.

From the moment I walked in to this little slice of heaven, I was delighted. The owner was so warm and friendly. I got an incredible pedicure out on the most other-worldly patio. I couldn't believe I was still in LA. Sounds of water rushing. Lavender sprigs in the perfectly hot water to soak my toes. Not a drop of polish on my cuticles. Hot tea (ginger peach for me) and warm neck cozy completed the indulgence. At first, I thought the price was a tad steep (I am accustomed to little strip mall nail shops) but five minutes in I knew I was getting a deal!
This place doesn't miss a beat! Every decoration, ammenity and staff member is there to make you feel relaxed, important and well cared for.
Splurge a bit -- it's WELL worth it!

My business partner Denise and I had a busy week of work that we needed massaged out of our shoulders and we had heard many good things about Le Petite Retreat. We called and Lisa, the owner was so sweet and accomodating she booked us right away. We arrived and realized that we had found a little slice of heaven. Instantly relaxing the moment we entered the doors, Le Petite was so inviting and luxurious we were completely pampered. Our Hot Stone massage took away all our stress and after an hour with their talented staff we were ready to face the world again! Loved how this spa operates. Friendly staff all the way around. You walk out and hear soft music from your car and the whole time you are there it is VIP service all the way! I was given a gift certificate from my boyfriend and he got big points for this one!

Glad I finally found a place that could do a great deep tissue massage. I'm a big guy and work out so my muscles are very tight, but not after this massage. Felt fantastic and won my baseball game! I'll be back!

I came here with my finance' who while getting a couples Warm Stone/Deep Tissue massage handed me a 3 carat diamond ring on a warm stone and asked me to marry him! The Epicurean Hot Peel Facial was the best facial I've ever had. I loved it so much I bought a series of 12 and the product line too! A true spa fan who knows what works and what doesn't. Great facial and great experience!

Never had a facial like this before! Created by the owner let me tell you she knows her stuff! I had the Aquasonic Lymphatic Facial and it has everything you could ever want. Deep cleansing, lots of extractions, ultrasonic microdermabrasion, hand & foot massage, the works! This facial took the cake! Thanks Citysearch - you RULE!!

Had a Two-Hour Deep Tissue Crystal Candle Massage and it was out of this world! The best part is that you get to keep this beautiful amysthest crystal that is used during the treatment! I go to spas alot and never had I experienced anything like this!

If heaven was on earth it would be here. There were 15 people sitting in the living room in front of the fireplace and they all seemed so relaxed and really enjoying themselves. This little sanctuary is like no other in Los Angeles. Very sincere staff and real attention to customer service. Citysearch really knows their stuff. Thanks!

I just had the best spa experience I've ever had! Brought 12 friends and we all had the best time. Treatments were beyond our expectations! You are pampered from the minute you get out of your car because you hear soothing music from the get go! Lucious robes and great teas along with a scalp massage with the tinger is out of this world! What an experience! I loved my Riverrock Copper footbath Pedicure! Warm water in a copper tub with large riverrock and essential oils made my feet tingle for days! Also, I loved the feel of the place. Lots of wonderful engery and a staff that is very service oriented. Try it! You'll love it!

I researched over 50 different spas before I went for my first experience at a spa. I'm so glad this was my first experience! What a place to loose your spa virginity!! The facial I had was fantastic. I'd heard so much about this place and seen so much on TV and in all the glam mags that I just had to try it out and boy am I glad I did. This intimate sactuary is like no other in Los Angeles! This place is a jewel in a unique pocket of Los Angeles in Larchmont Village. I loved the couples massage and the champagne for 2 copper tub treatment! A must for people to experience!

This place was recommended to me by a couple of friends. I'm soo glad I ended up going. I was treated like royalty by the friendly staff.
I purchased the Majestic Lion Swedish Massage and ended up waking up and the end of my session. Talk about a magic touch. The tranquil setting was perfect. felt like a completely new person walking out of there! I've tried several other places... but I highly recommend this place.

Le Petite Retreat in Larchmont Village is now my favorite day spa (though I won't use my name being a recognizable Celeb--) When I'm here, I'm treated like everyone else-wonderfully!
