Peet's Coffee & Tea

Although not many people seem to know this, Peet's was the original high end chain coffee shop. Starbucks broke off from Peet's, moved to Seattle and started the "evil empire." Peet's still makes better quality coffee although you pay for performance.

PROS: Great coffee
CONS: expensive

Peet's Coffee is a chain coffee store. I like the coffee beter than Starbucks. The Peet's in Santa Monica is cool.

I love Peet's. I first experienced them in San Francisco & was thrilled when they began their migration south. Their teas are my favorite of any of the hot beverage conglomerates & they have a less "chain-like" feel. The staff has always been polite, knowledgeable & friendly. I definitely recommend Peet's!
