I haven''t been to Dante's in several years but it is a landmark in the Palisades so I am sure it is still great. I will be returning there soon!

I was invited by a family friend to Dante Palisades restaurant. I knew they patronized the neighborhood restaurants. Dante's dual offering - Atrio Cucina on one side and the more formal-looking Dante on the other side pleased me - the first as a genuine neighborhood place and the second as a more quiet and relaxing alternative. The food, classic and modern Italian-Mediterranean fare, is full of flavor and freshness. The prices of both the food and the wine were more than reasonable. The service and decor...memorable.

In the heart of the Pacific Palisades sits Dante's. A great Italian and steak lover's paradise. The Italian food is made fresh and the steaks are cooked to perfection. The owner is usually available and greets
patrons nightly. A quiet restaraunt with well prepared and great tasting food everytime.

everything about this hole is old--the menu, the staff, the room, the idea, the patrons. awful. i have no problem with classic cuisine, but there's a difference between classic and tired/boring/bad. front/back of house and kitchen are puro mexicano. the closest italian is in italy, and rigor mortis has set in. the average age of patrons is deceased, which obviously is the only reason this place can even stay open--oxygen-tanked elderly, unable to taste or otherwise discern, unable or unwilling to drive 20 minutes more for one of many potentially decent meals in santa monica. not actually unwholesome, but expensive, lame, and hugely unmemorable. don't.

Nestled between family friendly restaurants and teenage clothing stores, you will find Dante's. Dante's is split into two sides, a more refined and upscale side, and a more casual side. The store is owner owned and operated and generally he si there to greet and chat with his patrons, making hte meal much friendlier. Unfortunately from the outside the restaurant seems a little uninviting to casual passerbys, but it is quite the opposite. The Italian food is delicious and fresh and always a good deal. The restaurant is never overpopulated making it nice for a more intimate date. For a little more refinement in the Palisades, you should totally stop by here.

My family and I have been going to Dantes since I was little and I continue to go there at least once a week. The Italian food is consistently delicious (the fish is always light and fresh and the chicken canteloni is my favorite dish) and the service is warm and friendly- the owner is always there to greet his customers and make them feel at home (and he always brings me over a special treat!) This restaurant is unique because it is split into two sides-a more casual side and a side with fine dining- so it is great for everything from a quick bite to a date. It was remodeled a few months ago and looks great! I hope that your family makes it a tradition just like mine has!
