We exclusively used this vet clinic / pet boarding facility for 6 plus years. It used to be that the owner and staff cared about their customers. No longer!!! We boarded two dogs for 6 nights and they came home with serious life threating Pneumonia from kennel cough which appears to be running rampant in their kennels. My dogs are kept isolated from any other dogs other than at the kennel, they could not have caught the virus anywhere else. The clinic (same location/owner) had to hospitalize one of the dogs thus racking up a $750 bill (after paying over $350 in boarding fees) ! The boarding staff never caught the problem, nor when brought to their attention did they care. I picked up my dogs and within 24 hours one of my dogs collapsed and was non responsive. We rushed him in on a Sunday (paying extra emergency visit fees) only to find out he had severe Pneumonia and needed to be hospitalized and hooked up to an IV. The other dog is coughing and sneezing like crazy and has kennel cough as well. This incidentally is not the kennel cough prevented with vaccinations which they are fully vaccinated for, it the virus. We didn't argue at the time because we were focused on our beloved dogs health. We did tell them that it was from there kennel however and knowing the vet who treated them was just an employee, we chose to wait to speak to the owner after getting the dog out of the hospital. We discussed this with the owner (who we have known for years with a good relationship) and he basically said go lump it, "you wont find a better vet than me" was his words..... You should expect this can happen when you board your pet. The issue to us was your staff should be able to notice there is sickness if the dog collapses from Pneumonia 24 hours later. He had to be getting progressively worse day by day, not to mention the other 20 to 30 dogs in the kennel,,, you mean to tell me the staff could not detect anything wrong ?? That isn't the kind of care I expect when paying for boarding care especially at the vet. "Dr. Bob" was insulting, rude and has gotten an attitude that he's too good for the community to provide REASONABLE customer service and care. Dr. Bob in my opinion needs to lose the ego and get out of the business of poor care. There are way better vets out there, I used to have them before I moved here, and I know plenty of locals who tried to tell me the same thing in the past but unfortunately until it hit me over the head I didn't listen. That lesson cost me over a grand... Never again..

I use this vet during annual visits to the area......If you looking for a compassionate vet clinic....don't go here!! After being a customer for 7 years, I have seen a change when they moved into their new faciltiy .
Seems like they are to busy trying to pay for this new facility, and customer satisfaction is no longer one of their priorities - the staff is very cold !! I have since found another vet....I (and my pet) are happier!!

We have used this clinic for our own dogs and the 10 foster dogs we have had with German Shepherd Rescsue Northern California. Care has always been superb. Nothing more need be said. Care costs! But it is less expensive than a 24 hr. Sacramento pet hospital.
Since the above entry, we have taken 8 more rescue dogs there and care continues to be much better than a people hospital! bob

Every since this Jackson Creek Vet did its remodel a few years ago......the care and compassion for your pet is second to the need to making a buck. After experiencing the "lack of" compassion for a friends dying pet....I can no longer take my dog there!!

We needed a vet on the weekend and this was the vet clinic that was on call for our vet.

We received excellent and compassionate care. Very high tech office.

My pets have seen most of the wonderful doctors at one time or another at the Jackson Creek Veterinary Clinic, and each doctor has brought new insight to the care and treatment of my pets. All of the doctors that I have dealt with are brimming with the greatest of knowledge in veterinary care.
I know that they not only treat cats and dogs, but also rabbits, turtles, hamsters, and alpaca (among other things).
The people inside of the clinic are all very kind, and they really care about the pets, whether it is a rambunctious trouble-making American Staffordshire Terrier, an infertile show rabbit, or the same trouble-making Am Staff back for another set of treatment, the veterinarians at the Jackson Creek Vet Clinic will take a look, patch him up, and send him home to be supervised so that he does not end up back at their clinic for the same reason (he loves chasing raccoon's). I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else
