If you take a friend to Stanfords you know that they will be pleased. Their menu has a good selection. The restaurant is more formal than some and is very nice inside. Service is good and the waitresses are all pleasant and helpful. All their dishes are delicious. There may not be enough action for the younger crowd but the restaurant is next to good places to shop.

I've been to Stanford's for lunch as well as for dinner and have never had a bad meal there. In fact, I've enjoyed everything I've tried but particular like their chicken salads. The staff is friendly, the good and drinks always good, and the atmosphere charming. A little on the up-scale but definitely worth it.

My wife and I have been making a point to go out each Friday night to sample the great restaurants in Walnut Creek. We received a coupon to this restaurant from our credit card company, and so we eventually decided to give it a try. The coupon should have been our first major clue that this place has problems. Why would a great restaurant in Walnut Creek need a coupon?

This was by far the absolute worse food I've have ever been served in a restaurant. Even the water tasted dirty. I would bet that if we walked into any 6th grade glass and gave the kids a recipe to follow they could make the dishes taste better than the awful cooks produce at Stanfords in Walnut Creek.

There are so many great restaurants in Walnut Creek, you shouldn't waste a second of your life even thinking about this place.

The artichoke dip was greasy and over cooked and tasted awful. The pasta dish I ordered was awful. The crab sandwich we ordered had little crab (if any). Our conversation at the end of the meal was about how horrific the food was and where can we go afterwards to try and make our Friday night one that we would remember in a positive way.

The only good part about this meal was the bottled beer that my wife ordered, I guess they have not yet found a way to ruin that, but then we didn?t check the born on date.

A fun place for a steak and beer. The Prices not to bad I had my Rib Eye and Sierra Nevada. The Service was good however the dinning room is nosier than most.

They have a cool happy hour.

Stanfords has a great bar with an even better happy hour menu--good food for rock bottom prices. This is a great regular hang out spot to meet a large group of people.

i usually stay away from corporate restuarants because i find that the service and taste is usually sacraficed for a name. but my friends wanted to go so i did. the food was average at best, and the service was incrediably slow. i didn't find this place that upscale, not like a bing crosby or a larks creek definately but the ambience was nice. however, in my book service is key and becausse of that and the average food i dont think i'd be returning

A carnivore's paradise with generous portions and a lot of choices. It's not a huge place (neither is the shared parking lot), so come in before or after peak times.

It's upscale in terms of quality and service; dress can still be casual, being Walnut Creek after all.

Any time after 3 pm... just go in order a drink, and they have a menu of about 15 meals that can be yours for just another buck 50... salads to burgers to chicken to sandwiches... a great lunch value. Also say hey to Sean at the bar... his antics make the place worth the humor
