We took our children from Orange County on the Amtrack train from Santa Ana or Fullerton at least once a year. We walked (or used strollers when they were 3 and 4) to the museum from the train station and talked about what we saw, including the birds, trees, architecture,as well as the homeless, less fortunate. We made our trip an experience of understanding our community. The activities at the museum are perfect for children up to about age 8.
We highly recommend the museum with something for all of the kids!

LA Children's Museum is a great place to take kids that are of a younger age. Maybe 12 and under would like ti. Our older kids got a bit bored here. I loved it and we plan to go every time we are in LA

I took my daughter to the Los Angeles Children's Museum a couple of years ago and I remember she really enjoyed herself touching the different exhibits that they have. You can really tell the the kids love this place with all the excitement in their faces as they go from one exhibit to the next.

I remember taking my kids to the L.A. Children's Museum years ago, and I am pleased to see that the enjoyment is still there for the younger members of our family. I was concerned that the more sophisticated kids of today wouldn't enjoy the lower-tech exibits, but that just isn't the case. Kids love to run free in this open, hand-on museum, touching things and figuring out ho they work. Everything is bright, colorful, and approachable. I think the museum is more appropriate for ages 5-10; older kidwould probably prefer the L.A. Science Center. Please note that this museum has closed down temporarily because it is moving to the San Fernando Valley.

you know what I came here as a kid and loved it and I still come back as an adult. If you have children this is an amazing musuem to take them to. they can learn everything from how a shawdow is made to tortilla making. Parents can also become involved and hey doesn't it beat sticking them in front of a tv and zoning out!
